    The Patriots Oline is so bad it should be considered an OSHA violation. Jacoby Brissett might be the first QB in NFL history to have grounds to sue his team for hazardous workplace conditions

      Yeah, I feel sorry for Jacoby Brissett - he's doing a thankless job, and he's taking a lot of physical punishment. He's showed courage and he's playing pretty well under the circumstances. Even if they had Brock Purdy or Patrick Mahomes behind center, the Pats wouldn't have a great passing game - you need more than mediocre receivers and terrible offensive linemen to find consistent success, no matter who the quarterback is.

    Letting Maye get some snaps in at the end of the game last night didn't bother me. What I'm against is having him start behind this poor quality O-Line.

    • @barry7920
      @barry7920 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I agree - of course nothing can be zero risk, but if he's in there for just one possession, the risks to his body and to his skills won't be that high, and at least he gets a little bit of experience. He should NOT be starting though - big downside and small upside to that.

      Face it, this is a very badly coached team. The defense that has talent played lousy. They didn't even try. They look like they don't care. The D wasn't too good against the Seahawks either.
      The Jets just blitzed all night. The Pats didn't handle one. They rushed 5 and 6 and Pats made no adjustments. Of course your qb will be under pressure all night if the team has no idea how to handle a blitz. The Pats coaching staff may be the stupidest coaching staff ever assembled. The rest of the league will eat them alive. The Seahawks said they knew what the Pats were going to do all game. Brissett said it looked like the Seahawks were clued in all game long. Face facts, Kraft is cheap and he put a bunch of people in charge that have never, ever done their jobs before. Who would do something so stupid?

    Do not start Drake Maye. I am happy to go 2-15. Get a top ten or five pick trade it for draft capital get an OT or DE or both in the draft and let’s go. Don’t need to win this year. Stick to the script. Suck and suck hard next year we can think about maybe 10 wins and a playoff spot.

      Every first round QB that has had the luxury of sitting got to sit behind an excellent/competent QB on a good team. You can’t just mail in the entire year. Starts a bad team culture. Let the kid go out there and learn on the job. Josh Allen went out and played year one. It was rough and raw but it didn’t destroy his confidence. Take the bubble wrap off.

    • @LoneXWolfX99
      @LoneXWolfX99 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      That’s what I’m saying. I would rather lose more games this year to get high draft picks to fix the OL especially since the Pats are rebuilding. It’s not worth it to play Drake Maye behind this atrocious O-Line since he is the #1 priority as the future QB. Let him sit & learn/develop since this is his rookie season. Jerod Mayo & Eliot Wolf’s #1 focus next year in the draft should be only on the OL. I know that’s not what Pats fans want to hear but it’s what’s best for the future of the team long-term.

      I agree, Josh Allen when he got hurt his rookie year said he learned so much sitting on the bench for a little bit. I have the same philosophy that was just mentioned…let the season play out with Jacoby as our starter and then let’s take our top draft pick and grab the best or 2nd best offensive lineman in the draft…hell if the pick is high enough the patriots can maybe turn it into 2 decent offensive pieces if someone were to fall to the early second round

    Patriots won the first 2 games by running with Stevenson 20+ times, they ran with him like 1 time the first 2 drives and his 4th carry of the game he broke a big one. Jets struggle against the run, why would you not do what works and they have been struggling with? Instead they just kept running deep drop play actions and boot legs with the left side of their line out and Jacoby can’t move and the jets just kept blitzing. Just horrendous play calling by the patriots. Jets probably win either way but could’ve made it closer
