      This is the dumbest reply to a video about racist cops and one of MANY channels where police have used their power in abusive ways WHILE KNOWING they have body cams or phones on them.
      Not saying all police are bad or all public people innocent. Not all minorities are innocent like not all white. But the police system can do a lot of harm when they go too far.

      Most African Americans don’t have the luxury of being upset or getting angry and showing it that moment. Especially when dealing with racist cops. Often a time if they act out in anyway or get real agitated the cops use that against them or make things worse for them. That’s can also give the courts and excuse to lessen the punishment for the officers aggressive behavior like searching when not needed or detaining and putting them in the back of the squad car.

      If you want to say the officer isn't racist, sure - at the end of the day, neither of us can confirm that. However, the officer is inept and clearly spews wrong info (says pupils only dilate to drugs and have nothing to do with adredaline/nerves, gives a speeding ticket for 120mph when it should be reckless endangerment and arrest if Toriyon was actually going that fast). The distance in question was about the length of a football field. Putting all those factors into play, I should have taken him to court and let the judge have fun with it. If you refuse the test or the test comes back above limits, you’re off to the police station for a blood test. I would not trust an officers personal judgement to determine if I’m drunk, especially if I am not.

Also, shining a flashlight into someone’s eyes causes their pupils to constrict, and the cop was totally wrong, because anxiety/fear absolutely can make your pupils small. Now admittedly, dude was in the wrong IF he was really doing 120MPH.. something tells me that number is a bit exaggerated, and it wasn’t even clocked on radar. Sadly poverty tends to create conditions primed for crime. And, in America anyway, Black people are overwhelmingly poor. Humans are DESIGNED to identify patterns. It doesn't make it right, but it's not like all these racist cops just magically ended up racist. They identified a pattern incorrectly and are acting upon it. It's, awful, but if a person is being fair, understandable and common. I mean look at the extraordinary contempt people have for cops. I don't think for a second Toriyon was going 120. Look at the sign in front of his car - that's a 40 or 45 mph caution sign indicating a sharp left turn, and this is clearly in a residential street narrow enough that you can barely pass the pulled over cars without crossing the middle. The design of the street just doesn't lend itself to those kinds of speeds from an engineering and psychological standpoint. Could he have been doing 60? Sure. 120? No way in hell - I doubt that street even has the length to do that kind of speed, especially in a regular old car.

    • @ittybittyrampagingcommittee
      @ittybittyrampagingcommittee 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +26

      Exactly, actually. Pupils will dilate in darkness and constrict in light, and should change accordingly. People on narcotics and some other prescription medication - as well as having medical issues such as a concussion - will have strangely acting pupils.
      Officers should be shining their light off to the side, then direct, then off to the side, shifting the light to watch the constriction and dilation of the pupil. Additionally, stress and emotional intensity can cause pupils to react differently; think of a cat’s pupils shifting drastically between being relaxed versus hunting.
      We can’t see what they saw, but if this man was anxious - and he clearly was - his pupils would react very quickly, possibly pinpointing faster or would be more sensitive due to adrenaline. That plus the light in his eyes would maybe make them appear static pinpointed even when they weren’t. And any good cop who knows what he’s doing would see that when drawing the light away and watching his pupils dilate again.
      Clearly they were just fishing for an excuse…

      @@toadhalltea122 Say you know nothing about ocular operation without saying it, lmao. The best way to check for normal pupil reaction in ANY person, ESPECIALLY a total stranger, is NOT to shine it directly into the eyes the entire time. You are meant to move the light to and away from the eye, and shining it indirectly as well. You learn very very little by just shining it directly in someones eyes, unmoving. EMS does not do that. Doctors do not do that. Because you won't learn shit. Complete lack of dilation is a sign of eye injury, not drugs. Or someone being a corpse. You also cannot properly check for medication indicators without moving the light, because SLUGGISH dilation is often caused by medicine/other drugs. Healthy, normal pupil reaction must be rapid and you absolutely cannot check the speed or size differences if you just act like you're trying to blind someone.

    Interesting how the police officer that pulled Toriyon over was so eager to waste everyone's time with those ridiculous tests, but the moment Toriyon's boyfriend showed up, and both men started asking for dashcam proof and cards and badge numbers, the officer tried to breeze past their questions so that he could move things along and get Toriyon outta there. Outrageous.

Leaving out a movie theater got accused of having a fight upstairs in the mall. Coming from the mall with my brother after shopping being accused of a home invasion with guns pointed at us. Man, Toriyon has the damned patience of a saint, i wouldve gotten angry after the 3rd time asking for a test. the cop literally has to WANT to find something after that many tests, 3 field sobriety tests should be WAAAY more than enough, except if he isnt on something. So then just do a blow test and be done with it, he even asked specifically for a "real" instantly conclusive test, because all of the involved knew the result beforehand. This is really a pathetic display of US Cops :/

    update on rose valentino she was fired, her explination is one of the most racist explinations ive ever heard. Quote from an article on NBC news about the event:
    "Valentino told investigators that she doesn't have racial biases or use racial slurs - but she acknowledged using the slur, saying it "was not intended to refer to all African Americans but was specifically and narrowly in reference to the teenager," according to an internal memo written by a police captain that was released Monday... She told the investigators that she had been “desensitized to racially offensive language by music and hearing people talk on the street, and frequent exposure allowed the slur to slip into her vernacular,” according to the memo."
    i didnt mean to be broadly racist just racist at one specific person at the time, also its black peoples fault anyway they use it so casually and i REALLY wanted to say it
