That last one is disgusting. Released on a measly $1,000 (most likely only had to put down $100), and then ARRESTED AND RELEASED 8 MORE TIMES AFTERWARDS!!! WTH is it with our DA's anymore in this country?!?!? smfh!!!!!
Generally, there are laws that enforce a maximum form of punishment for crimes committed. As such, it generally has nothing to do with the DA or the judge. These laws can vary from state to state.
You’re tax dollars are funding this useless corrupt court system. What are we even paying these judges for if they just keep releasing the criminals back onto us?
@@YourComputer There's obviously guidelines and such, but when it comes to setting bond amounts (if any), it's totally up to the judges. If they feel a person poses a threat to society, then they can set a high bond, or deny bond altogether. This person has obviously shown, over and over again, that if allowed to bond out again they will continue to steal. The judge (and DA as far as their recommendation) would be fully justified in setting a high bond here after the 3rd or 4th arrest. It would actually be for the defendant's own good in this case!
Imagine someone approaching you on the street and saying would you trade a year of your life for $1,000. It's such an obvious hard pass for most people. But for thieves, it seems like a good deal.
I feel like the general public should be told more that handcuffs do not mean arrest. Im sure a lot of people freak out about it because they dont know the difference between arrest and detained, well done to the officer that made her feel better about it by explaining nicely before he put them on her, most explain after
Yeah it amazes how many people can't understand that an officer is a person with a life and a family and they are probably worried going into every stop they have to do because they don't know if the person is dangerous or not. The cuffs make them feel safe and they have control of the situation and can handle the talking and paperwork side of things a lot better that way
If they put handcuffs on you they think you are a criminal its not a good thing if they are corrupt cannot see what they are doing while you have cuffs on that why cops hate people that will not come out their cars makes it really hard to plant stuff to get their arrest quota up. cops are not your friends they exist not to serve and protect they exist to collect money for the city, town, state, ect.

The judges and DAs should be made to pay for the shoplifted items since they think it's no big deal. I feel sorry for the police officers who take all kinds of abuse from the thieves, only to have the justice system release and empower them to go out and commit more crimes.
I am sorry that you are so hopped up on right wing propaganda that you still don't get it. Imprisoning someone in jail or prison is so damn expensive. Every day is more expensive for the taxpayer than what the whole value of the purchase was. Also prisons and jails are overcrowding hard. We had to find a way to empty them somewhat while still keeping violent offenders locked up. If you actually were informe about the US justice system you knew that what you are saying is pure crap. The DAs can go pay for the item when you start paying for all of the locked up shoplifers. That woul only run into the millions per month, I am sure you can afford that. No way these huge chains have insurance for those items right?
These theft rings are out of control. They're reselling everything and getting away with it. In my state, they just walk out with $900 with of merch at a time and the police do nothing. They come back the next day and do it all over again.
I've noticed that this new generation of shoplifters clearly have been raised with parents telling them "no one is allowed to touch you". The amount of times I see a criminal being handcuffed on TH-cam, shouting You can't touch me!", or "I'm suing you" is unbelievable. They seem to not realize that once they commit a crime, anyone can "touch" them.
@@Justicemoose definitely because I worked in a clothing shop for decades. And never would they ever shout "I'm going to sue you because you can't touch me". Oops that's a lie - a 14 year old girl did. They often shouted "What are you doing? I was about to pay".
I'm an SCA for Burlington and one of the funniest interactions I've had with a shoplifter was during a closing shift, this SL was one of the regulars that would try to come in but would be turned away immediately, this time tho when I told her she wasn't allowed in she said "I'm stilled banned why?" mind you she had attempted to steal from us THE DAY PRIOR.
I have been arrested for shoplifting once. Not because I'm a serial shoplifter, but because I didn't have money at the time, and had a very intense toothache & was sick. I got caught stealing two boxes of ibuprofen and some cold medicine (approximately €10). I was arrested and I did not resist in the slightest. Though I was a bit sour when the manager told me that she wouldn't call the police if I gave her the items, and then did it anyway when I complied. Thankfully I got a really kind investigator. I was first placed in a holding cell. Then he took my statement, even tried to get some words out of me to put me in a more positive light. He was aware I did not do it because I'm some kleptomaniac, but out of desperation. Then I was put back into the holding cell, even got some sandwiches and a glass of orange juice. The investigator took me outside while he was going on a smoke break and we chatted for a bit as we waited on the public prosecutor to make a decision. I had been nothing but kind and compliant, as I knew it was my own dumb mistake for committing a crime. You know what ended up happening? My case got dismissed. I had to pay a €185 fine to the store (standard protocol) and I wasn't allowed back in there for a year. Had I been a fool and tried to run from the cops, I could have easily done jailtime. Committing crimes is always a dumb idea, but in these situations, you gotta face the embarrassment and responsibility that comes with the consequences of your own actions. Don't be a fool.
When I was much much younger and very stupid, I got caught trying to steal a bracelet from Sears st the mall. The security asked me to come back in the store and I did, and I sat there while they did paperwork and called the cops. Then the cop just wrote me up a citation bc I was so calm and listening to everything he said. He never put me in handcuffs, and he only put me in the back of his car to drive me around the outside of the mall back to my car, bc I wasnt allowed to go back in, you know. I ended up with probation for 1 yr, and my PO sucked butt, but I got thru it. Sears did try to fuck me over tho, the bracelet on the table labeled $15 was supposedly suddenly $100, (which I NEVER would've tried to take at that price. Also why wouldnt something that high be behind the jewelry counter...unless it wasnt really...🤔) and it was a metal cuff, that they claimed was broken, which if you know what a cuff is it's kinda hard to break them, and all I did was pick it up and hide it then give it right back to security when I got caught. But I paid restitution for it while I was on probation, then sears sent me a letter separately saying I needed to pay for it or I'd be sued. Well, luckily my stepdad is smart, he told me I already paid through the courts and that this was just a scare tactic. Told me not to pay and see what happens. Funnily enough, I didnt pay and they never said shit again. Pretty fucked up. I learned while sitting in the back that w.e the security claims is "broken," they get to keep. So one dude was like "look at this hat I'm giving my nephew later, cool right?" to the other security guy, and it was a regular baseball hat, not damaged in ANYWAY! Then the other guy was like "yea look at that watch I got off a guy I chased earlier, that is mine now hahhah," and it was literally still in the BOX. Its total bullshit. Like yes, people need to get in trouble for theft, completely. But people dont need to then pay double for the things that weren't even damaged or broken, just so some guys can have free shit to give their friends. They're lying saying shit is broken to keep it, is that not the same damn thing as taking it illegally?! Ugh. FUCK SEARS, they deserved to go outta business with those tactics, in my opinion.
You’re absolutely right! I was driving home from CentralPennsylvania to Western New York when my iPhone died and I lost my google map lady. My charger wasn’t connecting so I was on my own. I found route 15 which would take me where I wanted to go. It was 10 PM, I’d been driving since 10 that morning (this was the return home), and I was looking for route 15 signs - not speed limit signs. Going through a little town, I saw flashing lights in my rear view mirror. I immediately pulled over, got my license, registration, and insurance card ready. He asked me the standard questions, took my license to check it out, told me I was going 10 miles over the speed limit and to be careful driving the rest of the way. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes. If you just cooperate you can avoid being thrown to the ground, handcuffed, and carted off to jail. It’s so much easier than going through every thing these Karens do to themselves and ultimately end up with an unnecessary criminal record.
It makes me sick to see what police officers have to go through to arrest these scumbags just to have most of the charges dropped. How broken is our judicial system?!?!
The patience of these cops is just mind-blowing, putting up with so much talkback from these cretins. I couldn't be a cop. I'd be all over the news in a week.

On keyless ignition or push to start vehicles, the key fob does NOT need to stay in the vehicle to run. In fact it’s an easy way for them to get stolen as car thieves found a way to exploit it. To prevent them from doing it use a RFID blocking container to store your key fob.
'Did you take that bag from the Dollar Tree?' 'No, no!' *holds up bag with huge Dollar Tree logo so that the officer can clearly see it* Clearly a genius at work, here.

I can't understand an addiction to shoplifting. It's not physically addictive, you aren't going to feel sick from not doing it. It's more of a compulsion to get a thrill, and that doesn't deserve the term 'addiction'.
@@themudpit621ever heard of cleptomania? You can be addicted to a behavior and that behavior can be an illegal one. Though usually a main symptom of cleptomania is that it's about the act of stealing, not about enriching yourself so I don't think it's the case here.

If you would have had your sound on you would have heard: "So you only scanned your items" "Yes" "And you paid for that" "No my card is declining so i was actually calling my friend" And ye the explanation of the scam was a bit left out but its like this: 1. They both scan articles 2. One person brings them to the car saying the other friend will play the splitt bill 3. Card of the friend declines for her items 4. Call the one at the car 5. The one at the car comes back with her card to pay for the friends items. 6. They go with the recipe to the car and make it look like they paid for all the items when infact you only paid for a portion Alsp i 5hink the friend got arrested at well but i cant remember
@@foreignuser_ I mean that's what i understood from the context of the video As to why the friend went free I am not sure, I guess because she didn't went out with stolen clothes, I guess after the card declined the buying process was nullified
that doesn’t make sense because if they both scanned articles and the card got declined when the other one came back to pay for it those articles would still be scanned. And why would the friend come back in the store after stealing. It doesn’t seem like a known working scam. It feels like they tried to come up w a plan and it failed miserably. @@genericamerican7574This isn’t true actually, they continue running until the next time it’s manually turned off. It would be a massive safety hazard if it suddenly shut off while someone was driving down a highway or interstate. Plus, there’s a key fob out of range warning, so that if the car owner mistakenly left the fob at home, they’d be able to turn back and retrieve it instead of being stuck wherever they park the car.
So you walk out with merchandise when it's not paid for yet!? Wow, that's genius! Yeah everyone should do that! Fill your car up then go back in and pay for it! How do you pay for something that is in your car! Its called theft!!
Mad respect to officers for putting up with so much, but it's sad that the criminals are just getting let back out on the street, especially now. They're overwhelmed as is, and their work goes to waste, even when done right.
She is, I believe, the perp who left her car running and didn't want the officer to turn ignition off. My guess is it was stolen and there was a screwdriver on the ignition. But a new scam is when a perp rents a nice vehicle and doesn't return it. However car rentals can disable a car and turning off the ignition would disable it by remote.
It was a push to start I believe. I don't know exactly how it works but the car was already running when she took it but the key wasn't inside it so she couldn't turn it back on. It ended up being a stolen car, I watched a different video about it.
What bothers me is, getting charges dropped over and over again! Give fines, jail time and management classes of self awareness and self esteem! That’s their only hope or Jesus.

Fr some people think that they're slick and cops are dumb. They're heavily trained to detect lies. Dumb people just don't get it. But hey at least is good entertainment 😆 🤣 😂....
@@billzjr222 Please don't buy that BS. Cops cannot tell lies better than anyone guessing by random chance. The only reason why they can usually tell when someone is lying is because it is so damn obvious through circumstance. There have been many programs that trained all kind of officers or agents on how to interrogate people or tell when someone is lying and none of those has ever stood against any kind of scientific testing. It is just pure bs. But yes a lot of cops themselfs are convinced they can and that is another reason for why our jails and prisons ar overcrowded as hell. When you teach them a faulty method that only enforces the cops own beliefs than interrogations will be a cakewalk of course.. they won't get to the truth but they damn sure get lots of convictions. And if we don't hold them to account on their methods anyone of us could be at the wrong place at the wrong time and then convicted based on the cops beliefs. We have to stop believing that they have abilites they clearly do not.

The Judge should be fired.
Why do I even have a job when apparently you can steal stuff and constantly have the case dropped. Jesus, it's soooo annoying!
I feel like the general public should be told more that handcuffs do not mean arrest. Im sure a lot of people freak out about it because they dont know the difference between arrest and detained, well done to the officer that made her feel better about it by explaining nicely before he put them on her, most explain after
Good point, I've been in cuffs several times. Only been booked once. It really is just a precaution for everyone's sake, sometimes.
Yeah it amazes how many people can't understand that an officer is a person with a life and a family and they are probably worried going into every stop they have to do because they don't know if the person is dangerous or not. The cuffs make them feel safe and they have control of the situation and can handle the talking and paperwork side of things a lot better that way
The funny thing is almost every time i see that the cop tells them exactly that, yet the freak out anyway, it’s beyond ignorance
Handcuffs are really bad if the cops are corrupt they can plant fake evidence which has happened a lot.
stops people filming them as well.
