One of the weird thing about Lennon's death, a lot of people learned about it the night it happened by watching a Nationally televised American football game. Someone who worked at the network game first heard about it while a minor trip to the hospital. The announcement was made, and with no internet at the time and no one else having the story, and with no official story if you didn't see the game, you had no confirmation of the story, so if you had a phone call from a friend or relative, you had to way to verify it.

I was 16 when Toy Story came out in 1995...me and my family (brothers, and parents) went just to see the graphics because it was the first movie to be 100% computer graphics...now I'm addicted to all of Toy Story at age 41.

I was hoping others caught that too! When I read that headline I was like, "are we going to just not acknowledge that some kidnappers returned a child in a taxi?" I'm tempted to see if I could learn more by Googling that.
What impacted me most has to be which year The original Toy Story came out, because I had JUST seen Toy Story 4 (about 6 months or so ago) & I was AMAZED to see how the characters had evolved as not just character but also almost as though they were people & to see the relationships between the characters, it made me smile so much
Kind of sad how they deliberately ignored the news about the kidnapped little girl on the same page of the newspaper.
Like, I know the other one was the pop culture thing, but I still couldn't help but pay attention to the other.

I just had this thought of my 1975 self watching this video and just being bewildered at the points of views being expressed. "Back when newspapers were a thing." "This was breaking news back then and, to me, it's just history." Comments and observations of those events from today's perspective are just... Mind-blowing, to me. I would still love to see the teens react to the fall of the Berlin Wall as that event shook the world in ways I still see today. Well... That and my girlfriend (now wife) and I partied like no other time in our lives!

I think I was in Florida when Toy Story first came out in cinemas. For those who don’t know, that was a HUGE leap in CGI, especially since no console could handle its graphics at the time which is why games based on it-though they still looked interesting-just looked sub par compared to the animation to the movie. Crazy..
