This is such a beautiful rendition of the song. His colour that he played with felt like a navy blue, connecting to a story of a distraught man wearing a smile daily but inside he is broken and nothing can help fix this. At the end of the piece you could feel the presence receding as if the man decided to end his troubles. I am just now learning about Yoshiki and X Japan but from a musician stand point he is such an amazing player and storyteller.
When both my late Mum and I were learning how to play the piano, using the Suzuki method, we were both assigned a Beethoven piece...I was assigned Fur Elise and mum was assigned Moonlight Sonata...after we would come home after School/Work/Lesson I would spend a couple of hours working on my piece and then my (1st Generation Ulster Scots/Irish) mum would work on hers...I mention that she was 1st Generation because when she messed something up her Irish would come out...I would be upstairs in my room either doing homework or reading a book and I would hear the first couple of measures...followed by a wrong note...then mum using her favorite expletive when something went wrong...then back to her playing...I finally heard her play through it completely when I came home on leave after graduating from Infantry OSUT (One Station Unit Training...which is Basic and Advanced training combined), Airborne and Pathfinder schools...3 years after I played through Fur Elise in a recital...hearing you play through it brought back memories of my mum who passed almost 16 years ago... Thank you for making me remember her

Very aesthetic performance..I was moved by the performance of you and the orchestra. Meds can help heal the body, but it can not heal the broken heart. Your music is a remedy for the soul which could release our sufferings from the pains. Thank you for being there for us and creating such a soul cleansing music :) Every man has secret sorrows which is deeply hidden under the shell in the bottom of one's heart. Hoping that your wounds are fully healed by the music you shared with the universe. このカーネギーホールでの月光は、YOSHIKI様にとっては「奇跡の月光」。以下は「YOSHIKI CHANNEL」に電話出演で語ったもの。アップされたのは 2017/12/21。
「クラシックコンサートではこれまで、やろうかどうしようか悩んで、リハーサルでは弾くことはあっても、本番ではやらなかった。カーネギーで初めて弾くことにした。緊張してて譜面を見ようかどうしようか悩んだが、結局、見ずに弾くことにした。この曲は指のバランスが難しい。小指を親指の70、80％くらいの強さで弾かないといけない。90％くらい、小指に重心をかけないといけない。それがすごく難しくて。ところが、カーネギーで弾いていると、そういうテクニカルなことは頭から全部消えて、勝手に指が自分の思うように動き始めた。指が自分の物ではないというような、誰かが乗り移っているんじゃないかみたいな感じで、最初は『怖ーい』と思って。『俺、弾いてるの？』。自分の指を自分で見てる感じで、あとは勝手に動いてる。『いや、なんだろう』。自分は単純に感動して泣いていた。途中から涙が出てきちゃって。
『いや、何だったんだろう、今の経験は』。完全に乗り移られた感じがした。『自分の指じゃない。誰がこの曲を弾いてるんだ？！』。
終えて楽屋に戻った時、『月光、俺は弾いてない！俺が弾いた訳じゃない！誰がやったのか分からない！』と興奮してた。」
この月光を聴いていると、身体中に電流が流れるように感動してしまいます。
ベートーヴェンに認められたかのような「奇跡の月光」。素晴らしいです。

第二次世界大戦中に特攻隊の1人が飛行する前日に近くにあったピアノを見て月光をその場で演奏した話を知ってるので、この曲を聞いたら辛かっただろうなぁ、行きたくなかっただろうなぁって感情が湧いて涙してしまいます。
YOSHIKIさん、今後も今以上の活躍を楽しみにしています。
その時代にピアノに飛行機とは、才能のある方だったのですね。
お国の為に命を捧げた方々を、忘れてはなりませんね。
知覧特攻平和会館 行きましたが、立派な方々でした。
月光の夏と言う映画にもなった実話ですね。目達原駐屯地から佐賀県鳥栖市のある小学校まで歩いて行かれ
生きていたら音楽の道に進みたかったと聞いています。ドイツ製のグランドピアノ最後に弾いた曲がベートーヴェンの月光と聞いています。
