You are absolutely correct. “ live within their means “ I do that . My truck and Reefer are paid off , HOWEVER, living a frugal life DOESNT MEAN that I’m going to run for cheap !!! Doesn’t mean I’m going to save so I can give to the brokers and shippers . I WORK LESS FOR MORE !!! Because I believe that is the right thing to do . I’m 100% independent O/O , I rather run few miles for the same or more amount of money that others are running for 100s of miles , mean while are destroying this industry.

I agree. God made everyone different to fill a different job. Imagine if we where all the same. Nothing would get done. The key when going into a job is having the mentality of “trying it out” to see if thats for you.
Everyone doesn’t need to know numbers because everyone’s numbers are different. If your happy, that’s all that matters. You hear good & bad about every company. It’s a matter of what you make of your time with a company.
The double brokering happens on the landstar Carrier loadboard. The actual private load board that is only open to the BCOs is direct contract Land star freight. With no funny business going in. The freight rate is posted with fuel surcharge
Land star all they worried is about their name I work with land star for 7 years in 2013 I sold my truck then I started to for newer one so I called land star about the plates if I should send them back or not they told me just keep them till you get the new truck then we will switch them to the new truck after 30 days land star turn me to the collection department and they try to charge me $330 dollars if I remember so no body from land star called me and asked me to send the plates back they turned me to the collection department’s and all the years I worked for them I didn’t have any problems with my loads no issues but land star they don’t care
Debt , Debt , Debt. The Main thing is to cash out on your truck & trailer (no monthly payments) and run up the bag period . Can’t be a slave to debt 💰
