Very Inspiring Matteo! Learned that you don't always have to use a big heavy rig for good results with the Blackmagic. Learned that i can be more minimal and use creativity to get great looking images! Thanks for making and sharing this video!
I could watch these kinds of videos for hours. There's so much to learn by actually seeing your solutions and approach to different conditions and situations. It's simply brilliant! Thank you for the video!
@@matteobertoli thank you! I use the same camera and Davinci Resolve but sometime I’m not able to stabilize the footage properly…do you use gyro data to stabilize? Thanks and congratulations for your work!
This is why I think the Pocket and BMCC 6k is so good, because you can get such high quality with just the camera and a good lens no need to rig it up, I prefer set ups like the one in this video as I am a one man band myself and also feel thats the way industry is shifting to at the moment. Great job, it shows what can be achieved with minimal gear when you have a good knowledge of lighting, framing and story telling
Apart from the excellent simplicity of the overall project and shooting style, it is also worth noting that almost everything was filmed om the 35mm f2 which is also quite interesting
@@TheJewellian thank you! Well, IBIS is a photo camera feature that was put on modern mirrorless, but when I started out there were no cameras with ibis and we were doing just fine. Back in the days you had to have skills in order to do this job. Now it’s whatever :) I did stabilize some shots, but yes, knowing how to operate a camera is also important.
Thanks for this video! Do you remember which white balance you were using in the kitchen? Would be interested since there is a lot of mixed lighting. And i would love to see how you structure your footage and edit timeline in post production with this. Building sequences with themes like kitchen, market, port etc. and then building the timeline from that? And do you mark them or label with colors?
@@Milan-cf1xe ahah why should I complicate things like that? I just built the story with the two interviews and put broll on top when they were talking about that specific topic. Easy :) white balance was probably 4000 in the kitchen
Another great video!! Thank you Matteo!!! I have a quick question! When you were filming them cooking, do you switch between 24fps and slomo while you're shooting? Or you just shoot most of them in slomo and choose normal speed or slomo in post? I wondered because both 24fps and slomo are used in the film and this BTS.
My c70 crapped out and I bought a 6k full frame for a work… right now shooting a restaurant in Savona! Only brought some stabilized canon glass, but will try next time with primes and gyro! Great work!
Very appreciative of the Osmo pocket footage. Nice to see it in the hands of the master. Are you shooting in -2 Sharpness -2 Noise Reduction? Freewell hard stop ND's? Is this making your BTS and travel vlog stuff easier?
amazing shots and also great BTS!! for the osmo pocket 3, are you shooting everything in auto or are you properly exposing everything? Like correct white balance and using ND’s for proper shutter speed etc…? Keep up the great work!
Beautiful images, as per usual!!! Great documentation of the whole process as well. It seems like you used existing light for the whole shoot, or did I miss something? Just wondering since the footage looks so consistent.
