This one scene only is enough to prove that Zoro is Luffy’s best and most loyal friend , both of them have an unbroken bond. Their friendship is so powerfull that it can make even 40 and 50 year old man cry.
I think this scene shows really well why Zoro decided to stay with Luffy. He supported his dream of becoming the best swordsman but (maybe) even more important Luffy was a friend to Zoro who seemingly didn´t have one since Kuina.
I'm positively surprised how the adaptation doesn't try too hard to be like the Anime but still captures the essence of the caracters... like Luffy jumping onto Zoro feels exactly like the Anime Luffy ❤

I love Luffy forcing a smile trying to stay upbeat but then it slowly slips. Inaki absolutely killed it as Luffy and im so excited to see more of this. Also I like to think Zoro was never in actual danger, boy was just tired.
The best part is that he's actually feeling more realistic than Luffy.... less simple than Luffy..... but still feels like Luffy.... Luffy wouldn't go to the bedside and speak like that in the anime/manga... he wouldn't be so gentle... and he wouldn't make those kinda expressions.... So this version is it's own Luffy.... yet it still feels like Luffy.....

They really captured Zoro's newfound loyalty to Luffy because this is what Zoro is all about. He is very loyal to his captain no matter how idiotic Luffy is.
This scene cracks me up because Zoro has been unconscious for days and has no idea whats happening but says with 100% confidence "it's all good you didn't do anything wrong" I just love his confidence in Luffy when he is barely awake and has no idea what is happening. It's funny and heartwarming.

I remember watching One Piece when I was a kid back in the early 00’s, it was the lousy 4kids dub but it was my introduction to the series. Then I stopped watching the series for a while and then it got so long I couldn’t even begin to think about watching it. But this live action has definitely been a blast to watch. It’s like I’m a kid again watching this series. It’s been so addicting to watch. I’m glad this series was done with justice. Not going to lie I strongly had my doubts about it. Glad I was wrong.
I like how they don’t have Zoro come to his decision to officially join the crew until episode 6 instead of after the Romance Dawn arc in the manga/anime.

After the time skip he presumably loses an eye - they don't say anything about it or acknowledge it in the anime to tell you how it happened, but I think the idea is he lost it while training. Who knows though, he could be purposefully keeping it closed cause of some sharingan-like power for all we know.

Perhaps the most dramatic and powerful scene in the whole first season. It's well written and the acting is excellent.
