Utah Johnny Lange's A-TEAM Van Build!

- I grew up in the 80's and loved the original A-TEAM show, so why not build my very own A-TEAM van? Well, that's exactly what I did in 2021! It wasn't supposed to be this elaborate, but it happened with (fake) guns and all! As Hannibal said, "I Love it when a plan comes together", and it most certainly did for me! It took me about 5 months to do and I did everything myself in my garage. Enjoy!

When IW as A Kiddo, Watched The A Team And My Dream Was To Own Such A Van Where All My Family Can Sit And We Could Travel Around, Well, All Of Them Are Dead, Im The One Now In Huge Chestpains Needing For Openm Heart SUrgery That I Cannot Afford And Still I Will Be Someones Memory. :) Im 33

The only way it could look better is if you kept the red paint stripe on the right side to cover the window seals. So it looked like there was a continuous red stripe not a stop half way through it with a black stripe running the opposite direction highlighting there is really a window there. Apart from that wonderful job! How much did it all cost ?

Thank you! Lights,do a lot of hunting, bull bar, made myself, went with aluminum runners on the side!

The van has 4 red Square exhaust tips coming from the side in the rear. Look in the chase episode with Hulk Hogan you can see it . Most forgotten part

Where do you find the correct bodykit? Looking to make a replica to in the future
Place I bought mine is out of business now.
amazing job bro, but in the future you really need to get rid of that side window, weld a panel , its not hard
looks great,,HOWE V E RRRRR...the back tires need to be wider/bigger/ taller in the rear like in the show, and maybe AIR SHOCKs.

Hello Nestor, they are 15X8 wheels, but the wheel adapters are about 1", so they have more of a stance to them, which actually worked out in my favor in this application. Cheers!
Is the a team van a g10 or 20?
My A-Team van in this video is a Chev G20. The original A-Team van (well, most of the seven they used anyway, were GMC Vanduras). Essentially the same vans with different emblems.

Great job but the black is meant to matt black. The show changed from shiny after a few episodes as it reflected the crewe in the bodywork. Nice tho.
Thanks and you are correct with the later change. Since it started with gloss, that's obviously what I went with as I prefer that look.😉

Johnny, very nice build. What was the total cost of the build without purchase of the vehicle ? If you had to give any advise about the build what would it be?
Thanks kindly! Hard to pinpoint the total cost of all the parts, but I would guess around $15k. Many of the parts are hard to find (even harder now, the company that produced the fiberglass went out of business), and sadly those with those rare wheels know what they are worth these days! Can be done with some patience!

I know it wouldn't be true to the show. I would love to make a Ford Transit van high roof or a Mercedes Sprinter van into a
" A Team" themed work van for service calls. 🚐💨
