- 2023 is the year...the year I pick back up one of my favourite games in the whole world. Animal Crossing New Horizons has been getting so much hype this year already with Pat's (Nintentalk's) Hard Mode play style and it has motivated me to boot up this game for the first time since 2020 and play.
This will be my forever island! I won't be resetting EVER again after this and i am motivated to play regularly, post regularly and just have fun, so guys keep me accountable!!
As this is my forever island, I had a bunch of negotiables, which include:
- Peaches (of course...!)
- Blue Airport
- Left or Right exiting/entering river mouths
- Top Left or Right Peninsula (to put my house on)
So you can see why this took SOOO many resets to get it right!
My aim for this island is to go for completion meaning i want to:
- Complete the Museum
- Collect AND Craft All Recipes
- Collect all furniture items
- Complete HHA
- Terraform and collect all my dreamy villagers (and get their photographs)
And i want to do this playing naturally - so not using a lot of time travelling and playing it slow and how i like to play!
I'll be posting a lot of content on my journey with this island and hope you guys will join in!

I had specific criteria for my third island, and it was to have...
-A map layout with both outlets in the front so I could make a river for a bridge entrance.
-Trees with oranges.
-A orange airport.
It took so many resets to get these three things, and it drained the fun and excitement out of restarting for me. So I could really feel your pain here.
I get the map layouts, fruit trees, and airport colors are chosen for you to add to the random mystery aspect of the game, but it would be a nice time saver if you could pick what you want.
Yes! So glad you can empathise 😂😂 I really hope in the next game we will be able to pick because resetting took too much out of me! I was only this fussy because i knew this was going to be my forever island and now im happy i went through the torture 😂
It's true that it would be nice to be able to choose. I am currently restarting and just want nice beaches and friendly villagers. And the beaches are always full of rocks and I often have Sylvia whom I hate... I am desperate.
