Also, which human rights, exactly, are we talking about? Does Gaza have these enshrined in their constitution - like France does? Progressives also make these kinds of packed statements as if they are self evident. Sometimes it is malicious. Mostly it is ignorance. Ask 'Do Israeli women deserve human rights?' to gemini and it will tell you to check the internet for up to date information. Same as for Gaza. If you ask for information about the israel-palestine war, it also gives the same response.
The intention of the gemini creators was most likely to make it not answer any sensitive questions about Israel or Palestine, but controlling the output of these LLMs is not an exact science. You give it a bunch of examples on how to answer questions and hope the LLM understands what you really want it to do. In this case, they likely gave it examples to avoid sensitive questions about Israel/Palestine and the LLM generalized to not answer even basic questions.
