I'm going to be totally truthful here. I almost did. But it would not have been about dislike but rather about heartbreak. I did not know that she had passed. I remember them on "can you duet" and they were amazing. It shocked me to learn it this way. I love their music

What comforts me here is that joey is totally wonderfully happy in heaven. Rory is surrounded by his family to help him and Indy is rich cared for and loved.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my oldest son, Rick Conn, on 9-4-2019 three days before his 54th birthday. His death is still an open homicide investigation with the woman he was married to at the time for 20 months as the main suspect and even if she did not pull the trigger, she was the cause. My son was a C.P.A. and owned his own accounting firm in Allen, Texas. His oldest child and only daughter, Brittany, died at 21, in a car accident on 12-5-08 in Colleyville, Tex....such a loss of so much potential. Rick left behind two beautiful sons who were 15 and 18...they miss their Dad so much; he loved them so very much. He also left behind a younger brother, five younger sisters, 15 nephews, two nieces, me, his Mom and step-dad and a father who could not be bothered to come to the memorial of his oldest son although he had just returned from a European vacation, and who is also a CPA. Losing a child, no matter the age of that child, is more than any parent should have to bear. Your daughter must have already had the wing that would carry her into her next life, just as Joey did. Bless their hearts. Life can really throw some hard balls at us, right over home plate, hitting us Moms right in the heart making it hard to go on...just not fair. I am sorry we are walking this journey of loss along with so many other moms. You, Rory, Indiana and so many others are such inspirations...you help me so because most of the time I just go along hiding behind a mask for my family to see wishing I could disappear into nothingness so the pain in my heart would stop...just stop. I don’t know where Joey found the strength to do all that she did for her husband, daughter and family those last few months knowing she did not have much time left. I don’t think I could have been that strong...and still have trouble finding strength. Joey was an amazing woman and Rory was her match in every way. These special loved ones whom we have lost...my sweet son, your sweet daughter...Joey...Indiana’s sweet Mom and Rory’s wife...please, Dear God, please, please let us see them again...we need them so...this has been the hardest 21 months in my life....so very, very hard. I just don’t understand....WHY?

I often read the comments and again I see the same comments. "We need more people like her", "I miss her" and so on. The thing that keeps repeating in my mind and heart is this. She, this beautiful woman IS the reason we have more people like her, she IS the lesson that so many of us needed to learn. I truly don't feel that she is gone. Away in some unreachable place. I believe she is ever present, ever teaching, ever loving.

I had never heard of Joey and Rory Feek until one day my boyfriend played one of their CD's for me. I instantly fell in love with their music. Then I heard that Joey had passed away and I truly felt a sense of loss. I didn't know much about the couple; only that together they made the most incredible music. I didn't know they had their little girl, Indiana until today, when I watched the Movie Rory wrote and directed. I started tearing up right in the beginning and didn't stop crying throughout the entire movie! What beautiful, humble and soulful people! It took a while for me to recover. I thought of the three of them the entire drive home. When I got home I googled information about them. Little Indiana is precious! As sad as their story is, it is also a wonderful reminder of how God can make good things happen out of adverse circumstances. Joey and Rory's unwavering Faith in our Creator is a gift to us all; encouraging! May God continue to bless Rory and his three daughters.

I heard their song just the other day "poppa what if".
I had a mix up on my phone, starting with Rory's wife up first "when I'm gone". Can't get that song off my mind at all, and didn't know the circumstances.
Then Rory and Indi came on and I just feel in love with that little girl.
Then I found out that Rory's wife had passed away.
How sad, but look at the love between father and daughter... what an amazing testimony YHWH has in those two, what strength and love that has been shown between a man and his dying wife.

This is such a heartbreaking but very special and tender story. I dont know much about country music which means that I dont know much about their story until of course I watched it and that allowed me to see inside their life and their story and it's a beautiful story. That baby girl too! What a precious little angel.
I truly believe that, because of Indy, Joey lived longer than she would have had she not been blessed with her.
I remember when Joey passed away. I cried like I've never cried before. My heart ached so bad for rory and the family. Even in the midst of her passing, there was also a feeling of happiness in knowing that she was with our heavenly father and that she was suffering no more. Praise God!!! God bless you Rory

She is in her heavenly body now, free from pain. I live with debilitating pain and I’m glad she’s no longer suffering but I miss her light.
I found her three days ago (17May2019) in exceeding joy; and lost her five minutes later when I discovered she had passed THREE years earlier ... I will confess that I cried for an hour. Thankfully, we will see her again, and I will get to hear that incredible, precious voice again, singing with a heart transparency like I have never heard before ...

I'll never forget when six yrs. ago I was changing channels when I saw this couple singing Rory wife was so beautiful and her singing to the Lord . I loved it saw them every Sunday. My heart was broken when she died

I had heard of Joey and Rory. Maybe heard a song or two, but when she was battling cancer is when I learned more about her. But after she passed away and I saw the film To Joey love Rory, and I cried and cried made me feel that i missed out to wonderful singer, performer, and a wonderful Christian and Woman. And as write this reply, I feel a lump in my throat as I think about her joy as she planted her garden. her baby chicks, and her joy of decorating their babys nursery.

Such an inspiring story. I lost my husband in late 2015 and we have 3 wonderful children who are in their twenties. I can not fathom losing him while my children were as little as Indie. Such a phenomenal man Rory is as well as Indie! Their story still brings me to tears every time I see or read about it.

Me and my best friend of 9 years just had a babygirl together. Jan.8th and she was diagnosed with Down Syndrome, had bowel surgery two days after her birth and is due to have heart surgery around 3-6 months of age. She just turned a month old on February 8th. We're still going through the grieving process of our daughter. Mommy prepared for it and tried to cope with it the best way I knew how before she got here because I knew what we were about to face but I didn't know just how serious it would be until we were actually living in the moment of it. We have another child that just turned 4 y.o Feb.11th and I knew if I lost myself, I wouldn't be able to be there for my son. Daddy however is having it a lot tougher than mommy. He cries more then me now then I did during my pregnancy alone. He still has a hard time coping with it and I told him to watch the documentary on Joey and Rory that he would have a better understanding of it I believe. I love this entire family. They show just how strong love can be.
