Sadly you are right, the luck side of this minigame can be so broken, it took me several attempts to get a decent run just for this video. You may also be right that the console ports of Ni No Kuni do have some sort of nerf to the card game because many people find it harder and get consistently bad cards. I wish you luck
I got really lucky the first time I tried this and managed to win all 6 rounds. I somehow managed to get a king in every hand and just betted on myself. Ended up getting over 1mil chips in one go.
Yeah, sometimes the luck just hits right, you get that run you need and break a million so quickly you wonder where the challenge is, and sometimes the AI double deals and gets all the good cards and bets.
I’ve never gotten past Campaign 4. My cards after that are crap. So I stop at 4 and repeat.

Easy enough when you get those fucking cards every hand. I constantly get hands with only number cards or jokers at best. This shit is broken on ps4

No matter how easy it seems, RNG will always come to bite you in the ass, luck is always a factor. You cant win them all.
