Tbh, when a friend told me about this app, I was like "Idk how I feel about dis...", but as I learned more and more how to use it, and learned how to use my stylist with the app, the easier it became to do my art. I know, I'm so confused with all of the different blending modes and tools. I just had to play around with it and try to see what it does. I've been watching a lot of blending videos lately and those helped me understand some of the apps blending modes. I'm not much help either, but that's how I learned about them to an extent.

Try JelArts, she uses PaintToolSai, but they have the same names and functions. Btw, Multiply makes the color you're using darker, so say, you color a normal pic, make a layer on top, clip it down, and color pick from your original picture. If you color on the multiply layer with the color, it will appear darker.

①イラストを配置
②クリッピングした新しいレイヤーでイラスト付近の色をとって全体に塗り、濃い色でグラデーションを作る。そのレイヤーを乗算にし、レイヤーの不透明度を調節
③新しいレイヤーを加算発光にし、背景の明るい色をとってハイライトを描く
④新しいレイヤーを乗算にし、不透明度を調節して影を描く
⑤全結合を追加し、フィルターのガウスぼかしでぼかしてレイヤーをスクリーンにし、不透明度を調節
