I'd like to see Top 8 Magic Controversies. A rule change, a pro player being accused of cheating, stuff like that. I haven't been playing that long, so it's something I'm curious about.

You're incorrect about the interaction between Trinisphere and Phyrexian mana. Phyrexian mana is a type of hybrid mana symbol which requires you to declare the cost you will pay during the second step of casting a spell (Comp Rules 601.2b). Trinisphere kicks in during the 5th step (Comp Rules 601.2e) of casting a spell and looks only at the costs you are paying, rather than what those costs represent as LSV indicates.
@ximbabwe0228 It is a draft format where anyone can create a "cube" using the best magic cards ever printed with I believe 50 cards of each color. Everyone can design their own cubes, so its a very fun draft format.

Definitely not :P Try looking at some vintage/legacy decks and ban/restrict lists :) Memory jar would be a worthwhile mention for example. Zvi mowshowitz also did a great top 50 artifacts of all times list.

platinum angel is a good card obviously but you're paying 7 mana to get 4/4 flyer on the battlefield. It's a huge stall (the effect is awesome) but a simple path to exile/swords to plowshares will do the trick, also maelstrom pulse, vindicate, putrefy, etc. So with a simple one drop you srew a card that costs 7. mox opal although legal in modern for me is almost a vintage power level card. it is however restricted to artifact decks and if you don't have 3 of them it's useless, it doesn't even tap to add 1 colorless + it's legendary. So awesome card, maybe, just maybe an honorable mention but i mean, there's lots of other good cards

would wizards every reprint black lotus? obviously not for play but more for availability although i guess that would burn thousands of dollars for some people so probably not
its so interesting to me that the voltaic key/time vault even works at all. time vault says that to untap it, you must skip a turn. so anything manipulating it shouldnt really work... that seems like a really bad judge ruling.
... No. Time Vault ITSELF allows you to untap it by skipping a turn, thats just its' effect, not a restriction. Or does it say: "You must not untap Time Vault unless you skip a turn" ...?

I thought Jitte was decent when I pulled it and then proceeded to shockingly crush all my opponents. it was my favorite card for a while.
Unfortunately you guys are wrong about Phyrexian Mana. It is an alternate cost, not a replacement effect. You will still have to pay the mana!

Actually, if you pay 4 life for Dismember, Trinisphere still makes you pay 3 mana for it. You're better off paying 1BB if you can.

platinum angel is a good card obviously but you're paying 7 mana to get 4/4 flyer on the battlefield. It's a huge stall (the effect is awesome) but a simple path to exile/swords to plowshares will do the trick, also maelstrom pulse, vindicate, putrefy, etc. So with a simple one drop you srew a card that costs 7.

"you must" implies restriction. basic english.
