      Seul crainte ...que poutine ne commette l'irréparable..ce qui signerais la fin de l'armée russe mais également énormément de mort dans les villes de l'OTAN ..nous épargneront les villes russes a la différence de Poutine qui cible les villes..

    Not 'perfect' for the long range interdiction role, because of the 'short' range of the MICA Missile(~80km), but it can do CAS, bombing,.. quite well and the Mica is still of use for some 'potshots' when you actually ancounter an other russian flying deep under the radar like you do yourselfs. So: NO substitute for a F-16/18 with AIM-120D or a Gripen/Eurofighter with Meteor, but still a worhwhile beginning!

    • @sidharth7522
      @sidharth7522 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mica is short range? Stop talking out of your ass. It’s more than enough to engage the Russians and F16’s. Mirage 2000 is way too powerful for F16s. They’re not great for CAS. They’re mostly useful for interception, their delta wings make it a world class dog fighter. Couple that with laser guided ground attacks, the do real well in stand-off missions.

      I agree that this is a start, but saying F16/F18 or a Gripen/Eurofighter would be the best, that would greatly depend which block version that will be sent. Because if the ones sent are from storage, then it would be some old planes, which would not be ideal. And I doubt any country would send their latest planes for multiple reasons

They had hundreds of planes, even more older airframes, a lot of spares and also some donations from abroad. The surviving and repaired rest is being hunted as soon as airborne. Ukrainian airforce was not contesting anything, especially not any airspace over Ukraine. The air defence is but another story, Ukrainians inherited shitloads of air defences from Soviet Union. You can put together anti air capabilities of France, UK and Germany together, multiply it by ten and it still would be a far cry from what Ukraine had. You can also add several thousands of handheld missiles donated to Ukraine. That is the force that keeps the Ukrainian skies relatively clear. The issue is that these defences are mostly depleted now, Russians are picking them apart one by one and soon there will be none left.

    Mirages are comparable to Mig-29 UAF in terms of capabilities but might introduce maintenance challenges.

    I see an advantage for Ukraine getting set up to use the Mirage 2000, they will, in time, have trained pilots, a maintenance and support system set up, and lots of replacements available on the international market. I’d think France will be willing to supply them with weapons, especially if Ukraine buys up 2000s from other countries who could then turn around and buy Frances new Rafale fighter jets as replacements. Then France could truly justify supplying Ukraine with weapons and support for Ukraine’s Mirage 2000s. And, the Mirage is really still a good plane. And, I’m sure the Ukrainians will find a way to use it to their greatest advantage.

    If France sells those fighter planes, that means the US taxpayers will have paid for them! As an American taxpayer I am sick of our Government supporting Ukraine, Taiwan and every place else they spend our money!! Stop our government from picking fights everywhere all the time!!!

      @Adrien THOS and how much are jet fighter planes? 30-40 million each! So not nearly enough for 10-15 fighter planes so yes we end up paying for them!

      @Adrien THOS try to arm one of those planes. Air to Air missles near or over 1 million per missle. HARM missles extended range 6 million. There is no freaking way the US taxpayer doesn't pay that bill. To fully arm each plane for Air to Air fighting is at a minimum 10 million! Like you said maintenance etc 100 million is gone in a heart beat. Who has been paying the lions share of all these bills for this idiotic war? Answer the US tax payer and we should been allowed to vote on this because I and a lot of people I know are 100% against supporting ukraine in this war! Before Biden decided to dive into this war had almost zero interest to 99% of all Americans not to mention he is playing with literal fire screwing with Russia!!!!!

      Sorry to burst your bubble but the purpose of the Mirage 2000 is to carry the Storm Shadow cruise missile the UK just gave to Ukraine. It's not to engage in air to air combat. When the Kerch bridge blows up (again) you'll know the reason.
