Hey guys, I'm considering a new OSFT video type where Diana plays random console video games, NOT GAMING THROUGH TIME, the focus will be on random games from history in no particular order while focusing on the gameplay itself, not a strong focus on the tech, graphics etc like the Gaming through time series. So the release format would be "Operating System" "Software Test" "AI Video" and "Historic Game" video. That way there would be 4 types of OSFirstTimer videos to add to the variety of the upload schedule. How does everyone feel about that?
For the next AI tool, I found weights, an AI that allows the use of RVC to generate songs or speech in various different voices. Also, how about for the next OS video you do an unconventional operating system like Windows XP Gold 2016? Of course, this isn't an official version of Windows XP, but it would be interesting to take a look at. A future software idea might be something like MASH (Microsoft Agent Scripting Helper) on Windows XP. Not sure if you still take suggestions, but these are a few ideas.
@@OsFirstTimer Can you please do a retro style video?Something like Diana tries some old system, would greatly appreciate of you did make a video like that.
I’ve been binge watching all the OSFT VLogs recently (all the ~2 hours ones included - for the 100th time).. so it’s great to be able to see how your doing now by watching these great new videos!
Oh how much I miss these OS testings! I'm very back to see them. I know there was the Newton OS testing but It's the desktop Operating systems I missed. Glad to see them back!
Okay. We need some puzzle time with Diana videos. Weather its video game puzzles or real puzzle games. The whole competition between mother and son is brilliant
I've been using Dragonized Gaming Edition for almost 3 years now. It's awesome. I play Baldur's Gate 3, Fallout 3, New Vegas, Fallout 4 and Skyrim on it, with no issues. Since those are basically the only games I ever play, I no longer use Windows at all.
I've noticed linux has also become a bit of a platform for local AI too, in some cases, more so than windows so it will be interesting to see where that goes too.
@@OsFirstTimer gaming has gotten really solid, apart from the aforementioned kernel-level anticheat titles. epic games, who developed fortnite, also allow easy anti-cheat to run under proton, thus making it possible to run on linux, but they decided not to enable it for linux. who knows why :p
YES!! ANOTHER VIDEO! :D I love your videos, guys. By the way, this immediately reminds me of when she tried that distro with GNOME 2 and Compiz and the modern effects and all. It will definitely be interesting to see what she thinks now of a somewhat similar distro after all these years! Also please make her try modern vanilla GNOME, it's interesting to know if she'll find her way with the untraditional layout or hate it similar to Windows 8 (which also featured a full-screen app launcher, although they look different). And maybe even make her try the "Burn My Windows" extensions to bring Compiz-like effects! P.S. Perhaps the best user-friendly vanilla GNOME distro would be Fedora? Not sure on this one.
Nice, we will probably do a video of Fedora 41 when it comes out so we are reviewing it practically on release, hopefully that will draw in some new viewers to the channel :)
@@OsFirstTimer having sections like that take precedence would help make the OS testing videos feel unique and not too samey, i think. also reading comments here from over the years, you've definitely built up an audience who prefers longer-form videos (myself included), so i wouldn't be too worried about pacing c:
diana seemingly liked the underlying KDE system, maybe it's time she gives kde 6.2 a try? kde have their own ubuntu-based distro, kde neon, or endeavourOS also uses it, it's arch-based

Just a request: Mom destroys windows using Registry Editor At first, you allow her only to change nonmajor keys which result in visual differences, then you allow her to use more and more destructive things until the OS just gets destroyed.
Can you do a mum tries out Hyprland? I know it's more of a Desktop Environment and not an OS, but I think it would be interresting to see how she would react to a DE that is basically only operated form a keyboard...
Loved the look of this distro, sad that it didn't appeal much to Diana. Congrats to her for beating the Cube game! BTW, is the OSDailyTimer channel shown in the video owned by you? Didn't know it existed.
@@OsFirstTimer I would like to point one thing out just so that you know, your accent is not very apparent. I am Canadian, I can hear something like the Newfoundland accent instantly but yours I have to listen for, Its not as apparent as you may think.
@@budgerigarer I'd say with so many australians growing up watching US tv shows, our accents probably sound a lot less Australian now days compared to back in the 1950s.
Based on what Diana said at 7:39… I would LOVE an episode where she uses the latest macOS, maybe even on actual Hardware as her main system for like a week or so… she could even vlog little segments during the journey and see how it would actually fit in her day to day life as her main OS (considering the integration with her iPhone etc.).
All videos are filmed on my main desktop computer for correct file formats and software etc, it's such a shame MacOS emulation is not fully compatible on Windows at the moment :(
@@OsFirstTimer Yeah, I figured... I just really loved the idea. And true - emulation will probably become completely impossible when Apple decides to pull the plug on Intel support.

EDIT: Also forgetting the shut down task!
Yeah forgetting the shutdown is insane tbh. an entire task skipped.
