I like your way for teaching ,sir frankly speaking I don't know anything about E.D .i thought I would definitely fail in this subject ,am very much afraid about that ,then I thought how can I pass in this subject .. have not. Understood some topics from book .then I immediately search E.D DRAWING IN YOU TUBE .I HAVE SEEN THIS TOPIC .this topic was the best in best sir ,then I subscribed your channel. I have seen so many interesting topics in your channel .i have watched them .then I got confidence that I will definitely pass in exam ,but my friends humiliated me so much ,but I kept hopes on you I moved forward to face the E.D EXAM .THE results had been released .i passed the E.D EXAM .BEING A COMPUTER SCIENCE STUDENT I GOT LESS MARKS IN TOTAL BUT AM VERY VERY MUCH HAPPY TO PASS THE ENGINEERING DRAWING EXAM .SIR I RESPECT YOU ALL THE TIME .THANKS FOR YOUR TUTORIALS .YOUR TUTORIALS GAVE ME MORE KNOWLEDGE THAN THE BOOKS .SIR AM REALLY THANKING YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART .ONCE THANK YOU SIR .

    A circle of 50 mm diameter rolls along a straight line without slipping. Draw the curve
    traced out by a point P on the circumference, for one complete revolution of the circle. Name the
    curve. Draw a tangent to the curve at a point on it 40 mm from the line.

    When the point is outside / inside the circle ??
    Then from 8 centres should we have to take radius and cut an arc or we have to take ta distance of point from ta initial centre and cut an are ??

    • @ManasPatnaikofficial

      The radius is same for all the centres, that is smaller which happens to be the radius of the Rolling circle.

      Because it's easy, less work needed. And mostly importantly the final drawing i.e Cycloid can be made by connecting the points via smooth curve. Try it out......
      Why waste time making making 12 divisions and then making 12 arcs for 12 points and then constructing the Cycloid....
      Well, 8 or 12......it's completely your choice......Cheers.....have a nice day.

    a circle rolls inside another circle for one complete revolution without slipping draw the locus of a point on the circumference of the rolling circle if the rolling circle diameter is 40mm and the diameter of the bigger circle is 160mm. Please help me, Sir

    A circle of 50 mm diameter rolls along a straight line without slipping. Draw the curve
    traced by a point P on the circumference, for one complete revolution of the circle and name
    the curve.

    Thank you sir but I want ask u......why haven't u divided the circle in 12 parts as because according to our syllabus and type of doing we literally divided in 12 parts I forgot the teacher's method and today when referring your method i tried but with dividing in 12 equal parts and I got it wrong

    • @ManasPatnaikofficial
      @ManasPatnaikofficial  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      12 part division technique is time consuming and the final result is pretty much same.....
      Go with 8 divisions.......
      It's easy and less effort required

    Thanks Mr. Patnaik. I have also a question do you know any problem to involve cycloid curve and golden ratio?

    • @ManasPatnaikofficial
      @ManasPatnaikofficial  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Golden Ratio is something that i read in the book "The Da-Vinci Code" by Dan Brown.....
      But i dont know of its association with Cycloidal Curves....

    • @manoleioan6216
      @manoleioan6216 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for reply Mr. Patnaik. In a way I expected such an answer because the process where the two appear together could be the emergence (theory) of systemic structures in nature (not in engineering) where you have a basic process that by multiplication generates sub-systems with totally different qualities. In nature we have water which follows cycloidal path in sucking-material vortexes, but its results in growing organism's cells and tissues are structural parts proportioned by golden ratio or golden section. The way I see this link is by observing the way golden section appears in the regular polygons used to construct a cycloid (or an angular cycloid), like equilateral triangle, square. pentagon, hexagon etc., and how it influences its development. But this remains to be done...

      I saw a lot of videos on golden ratios after u asked me regarding the connection....
      And i was fascinated to see its geometrical impact in our day to day life and even plants.....body parts etc.....
      I would say you should keep on researching and who knows you may end up discovering something magical......
      I would definitely like to connect with you on facebook.......
