@@DHDtroll The update did come with free content FYI just they want credits for the rest of it sigh. Big take away is mod support should have some good mods in next year or so from modders. Hopefully no loop hole in tools saying any mod made with their tools they have to sell waiting for that to be a thing sigh.

I was already excited about the Tracker Alliance stuff, but I didn't know you can now craft ammunition! Finally, I don't have to wait for days in a store to buy more ammo!
And the cost for the ammo was tremendous. I see myself many times broke in the game after buying all the ammo. So yeah that's a great new stuff for starfield ❤
They also added three new quest lines in creation club one let's you join the mining faction and another lets you work for a shady company again

I remember them saying something about this before launch. Their goal was to make a playground for players to fill. People can get mad about that. That’s their opinion, but I like the idea. They made the skeleton and nervous system, and now players can flesh it out with creativity.

@@Anzyn Not lazy at all - most of the development work is actually under the hood. The problem is that it's the stuff you as a player don't actually see - creating a game AND a development kit which is intended to be used also by end users (so not just working with imagination and console prompts but instead featureing a WYSIWYG editor) is a hell of additional work.
I personally love that BGS is open to modding here - some people turned Starfield already into a Star Wars game, I expanded my settlement using additional stuff and have a character called "Bruce Wayne" plus replaced the Mantis suit with a Batman version.
If you have a sandbox like Starfield you can turn the game into whatever you want it to be which is somewhat intended since Skyrim by BGS.

Nah. Microsoft won't allow anything interesting in the "Creations" store. So all the cool content will continue to be on the Nexus and other independent sites. Either that or the game will die a final death.

This whole video is great because it’s about actual content and mechanic improvements. Melee buff is going to go pretty hard. Melee has needed some much needed love.
Their supposed "melee overhaul" amounts to nothing but adding new melee weapons to the game... They're not going to change anything from the base game, they're just piling more on on the fire.

@@Thegoldenone800 "Creations" from modders are free. From what I understand is, "Mods" and "Creations" are combined this time in Starfield. In Fallout 4, "Mods" and "Creations" are separated. "Mods" are for modders and free; Creations are for Bethesda and mostly paid. This time they combined them into "Creations" and for me, it is the correct and best way to do it.
Discussion about paid mods etc. is and will be always here but I can pay for a modder and/or Bethesda for a good content and their hard work if its worth it. So, if they plan to give a modders to price their mod, I can be OK with that. If its worth it, I can buy it. If not, I won't pay. Also, as an Xbox player, being able to use mods on console is always a welcome.

Even then, you might have to wait a bit as they update their own mods with the latest update. I hope the DLC is packed with new stuff, because I have a feeling Bethesda is going to walk away from this game.

There is only one quest, not to mention it's a small quest, you can avoid it because there are countless other free Creations.
I'm not strictly aganist paid mods. If someone makes an amazing mod and it's decently priced. Ok, why not?
But if YOU as DEVELOPER of the game trying to sell us a "mini-dlc" as "mod", you can keep that.
And if I need to buy a "mod" to experience one of the key features of the update you advertise, then go f*** ********.
Bethesda went all the way from "we want to make the games we like, for players like us" to "well, lets take all the money before it goes all to hell".
The quest mod is entirely optional, the faction along with the features like bounty hunting is free update. The quest itself is small, it shouldnt bother you when there are countless other free Creation in Starfield

If it flies, they will sell us a mission every week and then all sort of things that should be in the game already. A few years from now they deliver half the game and you pay on demand for each mission after that.

And the paid ones are just samples for the modders to know that they can monetize their mods on Bethesda's Creations platform.

I wish they had given up at this point, anything would be better then this.

Brigs don't work with bounties, for a non-lethal capture you just tase them, and the Trackers alliance promises that someone will eventually come by to pick them up. Even though the tasing only lasts like, 2 minutes.
Bring back the immersive elements from Oblivion through Fallout 4 that you gutted for Starfield, and don't drip feed a quest through microtransactions. It's like breaking up the Dark Brotherhood into $7 pieces. Preordering this was a mistake.

For me I’m currently working on a making a quest, A huge quest(I’m writing the script), it will be a mix of investigations and paranormal (since the game makes you jump into another universe) I’m taking that to a whole new level like that mission where two universes collide. Hopefully I can make something nice with the creation kit

They couldn't even if they wanted (they obv made a point to go for a T rating to increase potential sales) with the game being rated T for teen instead of M for mature like Fallout games. As for a mod from say the nexus adding such functionality, sure.
Why would you not want dismemberment in the game? It would also be cool to see a space helmet crack/ space suit rip and watch the enemy suffocate and or explode from gravity, freeze on cold planets and smash the body parts flying. Why would you not?
