Thank you for this very helpful video. I have my first trip to Japan booked for Oct'23, and plan to go from Tokyo to Kyoto via this beautiful alternative route. Your video helped to confirm how it works. Now I need to assemble the multi-website puzzle about how to buy tickets to ensure that I actually get on and have enough time to see everything, take photos, and wat lunch. Arigato.
Hello! Very nice video and scenic views! However, In the website, I can only purchase tickets from Nagano side, Ogizawa up to Murodo, how can I go from Murodo up to Toyama side? Are there ticket shops in Murodo? Thanks!
Wonderful video. Japan is a country full of suprises! Please tell me if i have luggage with me how do i move through the alpine route? Say if i start in Tokyo and end in Kyoto with a suitcase. Regards
Thank you for watching. It is not recommended to carry your suitcase because there are many transits. It is a good idea to have it delivered to your next accommodation by a courier service.
Thank You for the video, right know I'm living in Japan, and this is the most place I want to visit. Thank you for showing the route and how to purchase the ticket, is it worth it for one day trip or should booking inn/hotel?
I am very sorry for the delay in responding to you. You can fully enjoy the tour in one day, but the main thing is to enjoy the rides in transit. If you want to explore the surrounding area, I recommend you to stay overnight at a hotel in Murodo.
Great video! I’m planning to visit April this year and if I’m bringing a kid with me and we want to spend time playing in the snow, which route do you recommend? Should we start from Toyama or Nagano better? Considering the time and crowd. Thanks in advance
Thanks for watching! That's a good question. The best place to play in the snow is near Murodo Station. Murodo is closer to Toyama, so I suggest you start your trip from Toyama. I wish you a wonderful trip in Japan!
I visited here in late April last year. You are visiting tomorrow! I wonder if you see this comment in time... It seems the snow wall is still 10 meters high. Please enjoy your visit!
Thanks for the question. Sorry it took me so long to reply. This video was shot in late April; there will still be snow left in late May. Enjoy your journey.
Hi, I am planning to go in October, but the snow corridor only opens from Apr to June. Does this mean the route from Murodo to Toyama is blocked? Or will there be another transport to Toyama?
There seems to be no particular limit on the number of visitors. Reservations are not required, but if you purchase online tickets in advance, you do not have to wait in line at the ticket counter.
Thank you for sharing. My personal highlight would be the ropecar.
Wonderful video with the map showing each location.
Thank you for waching!

Hi, you can buy a ticket to Toyama at the ticket machine in Ogizawa.
Thank you so much!!! This helps me a lot!! Because I'm so confuse how to go there and back to Tokyo. ❤
❤❤❤Thanks you very much for effort, your presentation very clear and useful 🎉
Amazing video! I’m planning on going on next April. Do you know any rental service for snow clothing for this area? Thanks!
Thank you for watching! There is a rental shop for mountain equipment in the Tateyama station on the Toyama side of the route. Enjoy your trip!
Thanks for this very detailed video...is it OK to visit on the first week of May...is the snow wall still there?
Snow corridor opens in mid-April and snow remains until the end of June. I think it is best to visit there at the date you think. Please enjoy!
@@2nd_journey And it is possible also to start from Toyama to Morudo only then Morudo to Toyama...in other words just a round trip only...Many Thanks
thanks for the video. Is it okay to still visit that area the first week of April (before 14th ofc)
This year it opens on April 15th, so if possible I recommend extending your stay for another day.

Hi, When did you do this trip? I am going there on May 26. Hopefully, the view is still great!
Hello! Do you need to make a reservation to go here?
I visited here in late April last year. You are visiting tomorrow! I wonder if you see this comment in time...

You don't have to make a reservation. Just buy all in one ticket when you go there.
Hey, what date is this video taken ?
Is end of may good time ?
Thanks
Thanks for the question. Sorry it took me so long to reply.
This video was shot in late April; there will still be snow left in late May. Enjoy your journey.
想請問11月可以看到雪壁嗎? 謝謝您的回覆
我覺得11月份會下雪,可惜牆是春天除雪做的,所以只能每年4月中旬到6月才能看到。

Hi, thank you for asking. If you are in October, the route is not closed just because there is no snow. Buses should be running. Enjoy your trip!
The road is still there, just without snow corridor. Autumn has its charms.
How about January? Can I still visit this place?
Do they limit how many people can only enter in 1 day or all visitors are welcome even without reservations?
There seems to be no particular limit on the number of visitors. Reservations are not required, but if you purchase online tickets in advance, you do not have to wait in line at the ticket counter.
How much Shinkansen cost to and from Tokyo?
You will need to change to local transit in Nagano or Toyama. It costs around 8000JPY to Nagano and 13000JPY to Toyama. Enjoy!
What month in this video sir?
Thank you for asking. It's end of April.
What date did you go?
On April 25th.
They open mid-April every year.
