Thank you much for this video! Not many videos i've seen put this much detail. I also got your move abroad guide-very very helpful. I'm working my way through your old videos because I'm starting my process soon.
Thank you thank you thank you!!! I just received my NIF from Bordr and am getting ready to begin the process for the bank account. Your step by step explanation removed mountains of stress for me. Any tips that you are able to provide for the VFS consulate process would be wonderful. ❤
Great info! Do you recommended using an immigration attorney for the D-7 Visa process? I was trying to find the most cost effective but organized way. Thanks for this valuable info on Borders.
Everyone has a different preference. If you’re going to use an attorney we recommend Sandra Gomes Pinto and mention Blaxit Global. She will be joining me again live on 6/17 to talk about the D-7 process. Another great option is Start Abroad. Our members get a special discount www.startabroad.com/blaxit-global-landing-page We have a Portugal accountability group inside of our Blaxit Global Passport community if you’d like to join us there also. Congratulations on the journey! ✈️
Christen I came across this via XPATS with Shar Jackson. I need this! Thank you!! Just to clarify you obtain NIF and Bank account before you schedule appointment with VSF?
great video! why did you have to put the $7000 into your bank? I thought the D7 was the passive income visa with a monthly amount (around $800 per person). did you prepay the annual amount ahead of time? or is the 7k in addition to the monthly amount you need to prove? 🤔
Great question. While there is no set amount, it looks better if you have more than a year's salary in the bank. The goal is to demonstrate that you will not be an economic burden to the country.
I'm going under the D8 visa, and there's a lot! I remember you mentioning a lawyer that specializes in moves to Portugal, but I can't remember if it was on YT or FB. I believe her name was Sandra something? I know there's supposed to be an informational session with her, but again, I can't remember where this was mentioned.
Nice. Sandra Gomes Pinto is the attorney we recommend. She’s also sponsoring our Move to Portugal Summit in November. When you reach out to her mention that you found her through Blaxit Global. SGP - Sandra Gomes Pinto & Associados +351 966 291 451
Since you are doing the process remotely and they are taking the documents to the bank etc on your behalf, you need a limited PA. If you choose to do it in person at a bank that step isn’t necessary.
If i have funds in my home country and then i open an account in Portugal and then i transfer my funds to Portugal from my home country bank account,, is there any limit of funds that i can transfer to Portugal.. please advise

@@BlaxitGlobal hi, is Portuguese with Carla and online course?
Why do you have to sign a Power of Attorney to open a bank account?
Since you are doing the process remotely and they are taking the documents to the bank etc on your behalf, you need a limited PA. If you choose to do it in person at a bank that step isn’t necessary.

You need to consult with your bank and the bank in Portugal. I cannot advise on this.
Great information. Thank you!
