- "Sacrifice" is a ballad performed by musician Elton John. The lyrics are by Bernie Taupin and the music by John. The song appears on the 1989 album Sleeping with the Past. It was first released in October 1989, then in 1990, and was the second single from the album. It achieved success, particularly in France and the UK, where it became his first solo chart-topper, spending five weeks at the top.

Here he is once again playing another beautiful song so pleasing to the ear and so blessed to hear. Yes sacrafice blocks out fear and brings you near to the man upstairs . Because about us he truly cares. We love the pure sound and hes one of the very best around. So let's relish in this wonderful sound of his guitar that has truly produced a real star!

He was a tenor, played the harmonica, clarinet and saxophone. The first song he taught me was Mario Lanza's The Donkey Serenade.. 😅😅my poor Mom not just had to put up with one but two wannabes in the home.

My family were not at all musical, apart from singing in church, and dad considered all "pop music" to be rubbish and said "it would never last". My Mom liked Mario Lanza, and i remember her going to see "The Student Prince"
Probably the only time we had a babysitter. lol.

Today I played The Last of the Mohicans and A Love so BeUtiful. Geof has inspired me to pick on until the brink of dawn even though sometimes I must yawn. His music soothes the soul and fills a hole to bring about peace in a special way. Yes I love to hear him play. A little Rocket Man fits in well with his guitar plan!!!!😁🤩😛😁😼
