I find it strange that the clutch was not greased before it was put on the bike...The paperwork said attach the handle bars, add gas and ride...not anyth2ing about practically taking half the bike apart to grease a clutch. ...BS
Marteena Fritts yep used to buy mini bikes from sears years ago and back then they must of gave a shit because they do not any more, love the info maybe instead of assembled in u.s. maybe we get them to build them here again instead of Chinese cheap quality the engine cover on many of these are bent but the box is in pristine. condition meaning China is sending damaged product here then we have zero quality control put them together here same issues on this mini bike en mass
If you find the bike lurching and the rear tire won't turn, try the clutch lubrication.....then check to be certain the chain tensioner bushing isn't BACKWARDS. Trust me, it makes the difference.
The clutch that comes with the mmb80 is a piece of junk. I had to grease mine every week. I figured it was just a bad clutch so I ordered a new one from monster moto. The replacement came bone dry, no grease. After I greased it and installed it on the mini bike it lasted a week till it started chattering again just like the original. The problem is the bushing on the clutch is loose and let's the grease leak out. I ordered a clutch from Amazon and it has been running fine for the last six months. Aside from the poor quality clutch the mini bike has been fine.
Bro for some reason the one i just went a got it doesnt pull i have tryed loosing the throttle cable an re tighting the throttle with less slack has anyone else had a problem with the bike pulling period
Can we use Dry Lube on these chains or is it best to not mess with them? I see countless videos of these mini bikes on TH-cam now and not a single video I've seen talks about chain lubrication. Is that just not something needed on these mini-bikes? I see people switching the chain tensioners to nylon units because they say the tensioner that comes with the bike is too loud when the chain rubs on it but maybe if the chain were lubricated or the tensioner was a bearinged roller instead of a static unit that could lessen the chain chatter?
Just bought the 105cc from Walmart and it was delivered a few days ago. The mounting brackets for the handle bars, the manual, the container of oil that's supposed to come with it, the front racing placard, and a squeeze clip for one end of the line coming off of the gas tank were all missing straight out of the box. In fact the line coming from the gas tank to the carburetor wasn't even connected on the carb end, so when I went to fill it up with gas for its' first run I had gas poor out all over the engine and the frame until I realized the line wasn't connected. When I called customer support it was only for the mounting brackets for the handlebars because that's as far as I had gotten with it after unboxing. It wasn't until later that I noticed all the other items that were wrong. I had to buy my own jug of 10w 30 oil and when I went to fill it up I noticed that there seemed to be used black motor oil on the threads of where the plug screws in. After finally filling it up with oil and gas (yes I reconnected the gas line) I followed the startup procedures to the letter and nothing. It will only start with the throttle wide open and as soon as you let off of the throttle it dies. I'm running non-ethanol 97 grade gas in it that I just bought so I know the gas is good. Anyway I figure it's just an idle screw that needs to be adjusted so I do a quick Google search on how to do the adjustment and nothing. I do see in the back of the manual (that I had to download and print myself) that it says that every 300 hours the idle speed needs to be checked an adjusted, but then nowhere in the manual does it tell you how to do that and on an Amazon comment (by Moto Madness support) for the same mini-bike the support person said there wasn't an idle adjustment screw. Complete garbage product. I will be boxing it back up and taking it back to Walmart.
@@telishanecole I was actually able to get it running consistently. There's a screw that acts as an idle adjustment on the opposite side of the carburetor from the fuel on/off slider. Clockwise brings the idle up. If you bring it up too high though it will actually start to engage the rear tire due to the style of clutch the bike uses.
@@telishanecole They dont allow returns of gas containing products in the store. Thats why it says all over the box and the manual DO NOT RETURN TO STORE but theres a secret way to get around it. Empty out the gas, thats what my friend did when they decided to return the 105cc monster moto and they took it back
I have a question. I got into the clutch and it's the shaft or what ever the clutch slides on to that is locking up and getting hard to turn. I only had the bike for a week and rode it like 7 times. What do I do ?.
What about the MegaMoto Pro with the CVT Continuously Variable Transmission ? I just received mine and it says on the rear right frame to oil the Clutch...what about lubrication for the CVT ?
Brady Hodge they are glued together the bolt that holds clutch is coated with a glue and clutch was bone dry brand new but that's not even a big problem, the power is pitifull 2.5 horse?? more like 2.5 mice just lube everything that needs lubing wheel bearings ect, tear motor down redo a just throttle remove gov screw a just brakes chain you might get it to go 10 mph
I have had nothing but problems with this mini moto 80. I have taken the clutch apart several times. The break's are very unengineer. If you like to work on things and get frustrated I highly recommend this for your kids. If you now anything about snowmobiles from the 70's. You will run from these. Don't waste your money and time.
My back tire wont spin at all, the bike is brand new, I already adjusted the chain, moved the motor back and forth and nothing... any ideas please? Thanks
ImNolan_ mines making an awful noise, lurching, then stopping. Is it the clutch? I emailed the company within a week of buying it and haven’t heard back. That was 4 months ago.
Andrew Perryman yes i did a lot of research and I’ve ordered a bunch of new parts it was the clutch that was making that noise at first I sprayed it with wd40 and then hit it lightly with a mallet a few times and then it was good and then it made that noise less so I just ordered a new one off of amazon if u would like the link let me know
Who ever built these minibikes in China had no clue as to know how things work, they damage the bikes when they ship them to u.s. they lube nothing and quality is shit.
This guy has no idea what he is even doing lol . There's no need for all these steps . you can just take off the clutch guard and put a few drops of oil where the snap ring is , tilt it to the pullstart side so it runs into the clutch then start it so it distributes it around .
Leave the inner part of clutch on just remove center bolt and snap ring the chain and all will slide off without messing with the tensioner
Great idea TY

Fixed my problem but I found an easier way. Take apart the chain, pull the clutch..lube then reassemble. Took 15min.
Brushwacker1 I like your way just gotta find the key part of the chain should not be that difficult though sad we have to lube a b rand new clutch.
What size is the bolt that holds the clutch on I really need to know because I lost the one I had
What about the MegaMoto Pro with the CVT Continuously Variable Transmission ?
I just received mine and it says on the rear right frame to oil the Clutch...what about lubrication for the CVT ?
Does anyone know the size of the bolt that holds the clutch onto the driveshaft? Or where I can order it? Mine fell off and got lost.
The nut should be ten mm. But idk about length
Can you buy an upgraded clutch or More teeth on clutch sprocket
Can I just spray wd40 on it ??
No
Yeah but lots of it really just use high temp grease
How did you take the clutch off so easy mine won't come off

Exactly my bolts tight as fuck
Put a screw driver behind it then turn

i need the clutch bolt for my motovox engine is it the same bolt ?
Does anyone know what size the nut is that goes under fork trees holds fork on frame
My back tire wont spin at all, the bike is brand new, I already adjusted the chain, moved the motor back and forth and nothing... any ideas please? Thanks
Mines barley spin and it new now it cuts off when you let go the throttle
how is your bolt easy to take off, i cant take mine off its toooo tight
Same here
After I take the ring off the shell doesn't slide off . What do I do ??
I find it strange that they should recommend to grease the clutch bushing. I have other clutches on go karts and such that all recommend oil.
When i pull on the staryer it wont start the clutcj slips
ToxicDrippy does it make a really loud grinding sound then it jumps forward a bit and then turns off
ImNolan_ mines making an awful noise, lurching, then stopping. Is it the clutch? I emailed the company within a week of buying it and haven’t heard back. That was 4 months ago.
I get this weird sound that’s like a scraping sound after I added premium gas to regular gas that was already in the engine
Bro I have the same probably and literally nobody know wtf it is apparently I’ve asked atleast 15 people
I only run premium gas in mine and it’s never gave me a problem, have you found what’s wrong yet?
Andrew Perryman yes i did a lot of research and I’ve ordered a bunch of new parts it was the clutch that was making that noise at first I sprayed it with wd40 and then hit it lightly with a mallet a few times and then it was good and then it made that noise less so I just ordered a new one off of amazon if u would like the link let me know

Andrew Perryman anytime if u need more help let me know
Every time I turn it on when I move the throttle the bike doesn't move I stay stuck in the gear
Jordan svgk did you leave it on start at the back of the engine
Mine has a hard time going up hill what do I do
It has 2.5 hp durnt durr durr
No what might be the problem is that in the back off the gas tank it has a start and run switch
@@darianweingarten4928 it's still very slow. At least mine is!
@@matthewhetes9965 hmm then im not sure mine started making a horrible noise about a week after I bought that fucking bike
Where on God's green earth are you putting the flat head I can't get the glutch off
Bike looks hot
Why does my mini bike stall so much
Clean your carb. If it's stalling out and shutting off and not staying idle with out giving it throttle id clean your carb
My gas top is hard to take off
Replace it my cap threads are jacked so I can’t tighten on fully so I just tighten as good as I can
I have the same bike but the bolt on the front of the clutch it stuck on what do I do
Hit the wrench with a hammer
Is gonna get hot and evaporate
