Vidushi Ashwini Bhide Deshpande | Raag Kedar - Malhar

Well sound academically as well as in music, Ashwinitai is an inspiration to thousands of music practitioners, students, connoisseurs and even those who are new to Indian classical arts. She holds a doctorate in Biochemistry from the prestigious Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai and has translated the book into Marathi on Madam Curie. She has published a book of her bandishes titled 'Raagrachananjali' in two volumes, which has received critical acclaim for her sincerity in maintaining the raga structure and yet keeping her own ideas and well thought musical expression in every composition.

ABOUT THE RAAG:
Kedar-Malhar is a beautiful monsoon jod raag and is a brainchild of Ashwinitai herself. It includes peculiar phrases of Kedar like M P D P m and Miyan Ki Malhar like n D N S (both nishad).
