My big ride this weekend will be to mom and dad’s for dinner tonight. It’s a big trip, 10-12 miles round trip but the chow is always worth it. We was in Omaha a few years ago on a project there, while we was there we had our seat worked on and they did great. They some awesome bikes and cars there. My next project is in Utah which has great riding in north east. So anyway just stopped to say hey and enjoy the ride.
That first gas stop was at Trotters in Broken Bow. I used to stop there often with the Big truck. It's the last place with food for a long ways when heading west.
It was great meeting you two today (Monday) in Sturgis along with Her Two Wheels! Pulled over and lifted my shirt up an pulled a HUGE ass stinger out of my stomach. My buddy said well that’s more exciting then the scenery!!
I'd rather be in rural Ne or Ks than any state east of the Mississippi. Sparsely populated with tough people farming and ranching on the rolling prairie.
Two places I hate traveling across is western Kansas and western Nebraska. There’s a whole lot of nothing out there. Don’t worry, the scenery will change! 🤠Ya’ll stay safe out there and have a great time! 🍻

We spend winters in Hilton Head SC, and all I ride down there is an E-bike. Great for the bike trails down there. I only ride my Honda CTX700 motorcycle in upstate New York. I’m moving to sturgis / rapid in a couple weeks. Was really hoping to run down for the rally and my birthday but I’m just too busy so I gotta hope I make it another year then I’ll live there. Wife’s already living in the new house while I finish prepping the sale of the old house. Killing me not being there but such is life.
What im curious to know is what the earliest vehicle and whats the newest vehicle there at car hegde that might give one an idea as to when it was done hmm or how old it or new it couldn't be ..
My 2011 Roadglide Ultra did the same thing. Pulled in to Harley dealer, talked to tech and he told me the contacts in resume/set switch get a little corrosion on them sometimes. He handed me a can of PB Blaster spray penetrant and had me spray in the slot above switch. Did that and worked it a few times. Wala no more issues. This was in fall of 2021. Hope this helps.
For the cruise control on your bike it could be some corrosion in the switch or corrosion on the ground wire I’d start there before having to get a new ecu

Same thing happened to me last summer. It wouldn't release so my brake light stayed on which wouldn't allow Cruise to engage. I have become dependant on Cruise control and will do whatever it takes to keep it working. It has saved me so many speeding tickets (yes, I sometimes get distracted gawking at the scenery).
That happened to my buddy awhile back. Took us forever to figure out what was going on. One day I just noticed his brake light kept flickering on and off and it dawned on me what was up .

I watch a lot of bike videos and In most of them, they show numerous humongous meals. I put weight on just watching these, and have to go on a Carnivore Diet immediately afterwards. LOL🤷♂😊

We took highway 23 to 283, then highway 2 up through alliance. Decent roads and scenery!
