Well done. Sounds like the owner had given up on reverse, and didn't bother to mention it to you. Hopefully you got a nice bonus.
In the realm of getting deals, I got one to share. Been on the lookout for a quality mig type welder at a budget price. A Forney 140 FC-i (no gas, which is fine with me) showed up on craigslist, almost no use for $100. A $300 machine, with a full roll of wire and not a scratch or ding on it. Lays down a nice bead with almost no effort. My 80lb Century Stick Buzz Box will tackle the BIG jobs, while this small lightweight Forney will tackle the smaller stuff.

@@MunkyWrench Thanks! I do a lot of searches on craigslist. A habit I got into when I was buying/fixing/flipping riding mowers. My jaw dropped when I saw the Forney ad, called the guy, asked no questions, and said I'll buy it. Even got the manual, and as everybody knows those manuals sprout legs and take off soon after the unboxing by the original owner. 😁
