Thx for the video! The old HFB vid made me instantly subscribe to this channel! I agree with some points from teapot but he is known to be a bit…dramatic and drastic in his arguments But he is right that HFB could use some buffs and those that are incoming in the F2 for pve are highly welcome!! But please allow me to add some pointers - not exactly things that the vid missed; just additional information 😊 And with my f.e. Trait choices i by no means think the ones presented are wrong. Just want to give fellow viewers a bit more information about HFB that may prove useful to them. Despite many people having outfitted an HFB and its easy to start with it’s definitely one of the hardest builds to master!! So its important to realize that before starting the journey the „real“ way ^^ The pointers: Staff is always mandatory- gives strong (also 1200 ranged) heals and is required for might generation and blast finishers. But with the second weapon set rightly pointed out that there is a choice. But combined with the choice there come a few drawbacks… If you take axe you have a strong cc tool (& you can provide fury) but you start to lack in regen uptime. Regen is not mandatory but still very strong - especially because HFBs healing is - while decent - not very strong. So people tend to run mantra of lore for regen (which blocks one flex slot) Many dps builds bring now might and especially fury so dont worry about fury uptime In fractals (especially CMs) its very advisable to bring axe for cc In most other fights mace is better for healing because it heals on auto attack and gives regeneration and another scource of aegis. Sanctuary is a bit of a mixed bag; it offers strong cc but it needs time to get the cc out. Especially with the trait master of consecrations. Not many breakbars are up for 7 seconds stationary which could make the trait choice unnecessary. It’s preferable to bring for standard fights resolute subconscious for some self assist in stun situations. Additionally if you need strong and fast cc hammer of wisdom is even better. Plus this one is an ammunition skill!! Therefore my recommendation is to only use sanctuary and master of c. if the fight demands it. Not as standard. The best standard utility skills in most scenarios is in the 2 flex slots stand your ground and bow of truth Bow of truth is a good sustained heal in 1200 range which cannot be underestimated. Normally you dont need so much healing anyway but its not a bad choice to bring IF you dont need anything else. You are a defensive support and therefore its pretty much necessary to constantly adjust to the fight and the situation And stand your ground gives besides stability (which is very useful in many fights) also resolution which is an very valuable boon to have in fights with conditions. While F3-5 is a good source of stability and also aegis it has a major disadvantage- its cast time is not instant which could be disastrous in fights that need aegis point on. Aegis f.e. Can be stripped extremely easily and therefore should be provided as late as possible. This is the reason its always better to bring advance or stand your ground if you need either and only use F3-5 as back-up I would not use the healing combo F2-5-4- and spam 1 anymore. Not now and especially not after the next balance patch on the 30th The minor trait swift scholar makes the third tome skill in a row nearly free (grants one page). Meaning 3 tome skills should be chained together. The best combo is 5-4-3. The 3 is a boon giver and also heals in the next patch so healing will not require to spam the 1. Its especially dangerous to deplete your tomes completely if its not strictly necessary. Do it of you must, but be aware that you are out of juice for a while. Which can be crippling if you need a fast F3 - especially the 4 can be a life safer as its a group stunbreak or the 5 for its aegis. Or be ready for another blast heal like vale guardian. Additionally the f2-3 brings a good uptime of regen, swiftness and vigor. Vigor cannot to understated because it enables many builds reliant on dodging to do dps like vindicators or mirages. Dont forget your f2 passive gives more endurance besides health regen. That helps endurance builds even more and its always good to have more dodges for the group! And because of our FB grandmaster we also never loose it!! I would advise to take the trait stalwart speed (quickness on aegis/stability) only if you need to switch out feel my wrath for mantra of liberation for another stability and group stunbreak scource. Then the trait is needed to upkeep quickness but only if its an encounter that requires aegis or stability. Otherwise its pretty much useless… I prefer weights terms a lot. It enables you do generate 2 tome pages very controllably which can be very valuable if you need critical tome skills (which we know by now are very impactful). Mantra of potence is mandatory anyway and the standard tactic is to only blast the final charge if your subgroup needs to divide to do a mechanic and your cone cannot reach all of them easily. In regards to the boon uptime you wont feel it at all. I prefer to keep the last charge ready to not only add more quickness but also refill my pages. If the fight has a bit of downtime just use the last charge to recharge your pages to full after you have used your f2 healing combo of 5-4-3. I prefer relic of the flock. To apply barrier on demand is extremely valuable. Especially for a build incapable of applying barrier like this one. Flock is undeniably better than monk plus its easier to get because of dungeon tokens necessary for monk. The changes in the next patch most likely wont change that. The last point would be that your mantras are not only cones but are also applied in a short radius around you - even behind you. That enables you to stand in a stacked group but its still preferable to move a bit back to get more people. Also the cones are surprisingly good if you are tanking. Still i hope they will adapt the quickness generation to make it easier to apply. Its quite hard to keep up with herald that pumps quick out in a 600 radius constantly…
I got a comment on my last DH video saying he watched the first one and had questions. So I rewatched it and damn as my 2nd video posted it could use some work, and based on the last poll people were wanting a support guide so I had to revisit HFB. Good tips, pinned the comment. I still think Stalwart Speed is good for new HFBs to maintain their quickness uptime. I'll be doing a major update on most builds following the weapon releases. Thanks for sticking with the channel and sharing your tips- you're an OG here!
I don't know man... Herald is still out there, for ease of use, and most of the boons on perma status, minus alacrity, now herald also has aegis... Not to mention insane damage reduction buffs when aegis can't cut it and you run jalis... coupled with very solid stability spam from jalis.
@@titan_codes I disagree, I moved from healbrand to revenant to be able to run the full kit in metas and raids. Atleast two dps specs (condi renegade, power vindicator (im not playing this damage herald thing, ik its good, I just dont like it), heal herald and 1 build template for two different gear setups so I can tank too in metas and whichever struggle we face. Guardian struggles in the tanking part, his self survival traits and builds seem outdated, you need real good healers to stand a chance to do anything, and you must run some pretty weird gear combo too, something like minstrel, giver or nomad. On herald you have the best healing skill in the game and you have one block from shield 5 which also heals aoe, and you also have shield 4 which is almost amazing skill, if it was healing abit more and with shorter cooldown, it would be amazing.
Nice video man! I tend to run guardian for all raids/fractal content because it got every option - pdps/cdps, hqb/cqb, tank if needed, alac although that one is less common. Any thoughts on cele gear? I tend to run this as less switching around.
Herald is not king. It's easy it cannot bring anywhere near the utility HB can bring at the same time while doing equally good healing. Not saying it's not good but it's no where near King. Herald constantly has to trade off some utility for others and in some cases has no option. For example no access to reflects which is required for a lot of things.
what utility do you need? herald has stab now and aegis. hb in current state is weak. becasue they add so many utility to all other healers. @@titan_codes
@@titan_codeslike all the other new kids on the block it brings a lot to the table And what it brings it does very well But is it the swiss army knives that HFB is? No its not and will never be The thing is just that people just may bring other builds for different encounters that are more optimal But HFB can handle all content as a defensive support He just needs to struggle a bit more than others ^^ 😅😂

@@SilhouetteGaming1 i do not deserve that praise 😊

Hey sil, wanted to ask wether or not running full minstrels will make my boon uptimes scuffed because of the reduced bd
Nope, I just don't recommend because it means your tanking if you only have that gear set and you go raiding.

Cele is great for open world on almost every class, I've used it to do T4s and it can make a noticeable difference in phasing the boss.
