i feel like the other 2 games definitely had more of a sense of urgency when cooking .. this game feels very laid back
Agree. Not having to juggle multiple orders at the same time means you leave behind a big part of the original 3 games. Even in those 3 games you immediatelly get to buy your own new recipes, or cooking stations, or improvements for chores.
@@Manzana1C the game should have fully comitted to this new gameplay style.... drop the timer completely and the button prompts and have a you selecting different ingredients while having a conservation with a customer, kinda like in the bartender game Valhalla
Cooking definitely has a rhythm. I’ve cooked professionally for 10 years. When it gets busy, you fall into a rhythm and if something changes unexpectedly, you (or at least I did) get thrown off.

I was so excited about this coming out since I loved 2 and 3
After play this for a few hours (10hrs) I can only say this about the game. The devs have stated multiple times that this game is made to get new players into the franchise. They also wanted a game that is story focused. However I don't think they were able to do what they wanted. The gameplay is a rhythm game without needing a beat. The mistakes feel meaningless unlike in previous titles. The story is slow and poorly paced. I spend hours with the same 10 recipes replying the same maps to get enough levels to final get the next story segment and it is short and meaningless. The game wouldn't feel like a grind if there was something meaningful to do between shifts or if the grind to get to another story was shorter. I wish I could see noticeable differences in ingredients upgrading. More recipes and perks from the start with meaningful differences in appearance and inputs. A perk system with the choice of delivery bots having shift modifiers. Anything to make the days or locations feel unique. Some perks about the game so this isn't as negative is the soundtrack and characters. The music is pure bliss I need the soundtrack asap. I do like the characters we meet along the way with my only complaint being I don't see this as the post-apocalyptic world from previous entries.
Yea, after almost 40 minutes the sum total of the storyline is that a chef and her girlfriend are forced to move out of their shitty apartment, so they go to the city and meet a grocer. What's the story after 10 hours? I really don't mind spoilers. Is there ever any conflict? Does anything ever happen?
@@brandonsattizahn4443 Sorry to disappoint, but the story doesn't pick back up at all. Only the first city is out. most of my time is spent grinding lvl 20 locations. Some oddities in the story is the surprising number of characters mentioning the sun and how it could explode any day. they made a religion out of it too. The story leaves off with Nori finding out Rhubarb is opening a restaurant in town and she is going to serve on the grand opening to get in good graces with the chef.
I never read the story before, why would I start now? 😭 They literally took out the best part of the game (the gameplay)
This makes me wish Skoottie would stream a playthrough of any of the other earlier CSD games, maybe someday!
I was so hyped for this game but it really fell flat. I feel like its definitely a spinoff, would feel more at home on mobile than desktop
This looks like a clone of CSD the game looks like it's removed all character from what CSD is
OMG I watched this live and it was hilarious! We were ripping on it so bad.

I have the first three games, but I'm skipping this one for sure. My experience with early access tells me that fundamental problems with the game don't go away once it fully releases.

this looks so bad, the music is mid, the gameplay is (as mentioned) rhythm with no rhythm, the delivery bots designs are boring af, and the story (so far as the video shows) is incredibly dull...
this like a $10 game at best, and that might be generous

When I was warned at the beginning I didn’t take it seriously. This was boring as hell and should NOT have been $30. Looks unchallenging and just watching made me sleepy
