just a reiteration that i literally have zero professional vocal knowledge and i don’t know what a lot of official musical terms are/mean (╥_╥) i just wanted to show off jongho’s range of notes that he’s sung in his career so far

ps.. i wrote the notes by singing them myself into a tuner, so there’s a chance i sang so out of tune that some of these notes are incorrect.. i tried 😅
It was good, well you showed well that he had a wide range of vocals and showed the notes that he hit too so yeah 😃
edit: ok abt the singing into the tuner, I suggest that you can use another device to blast(don't actually blastㅡyour neighbours are gonna complain about the noice) the song into the tuner.

I thought Horizon was Jongho's lowest note
i don’t think that’s jongho singing the really low notes, it doesn’t have the same tone as his voice and i don’t believe jongho can actually go that low, at least in song. i could be wrong though
@@preciousnourishment I thought it was Yunho but apparently it's Yeosang and Jongho together and you can hear Jongho more than Yeosang
@@JVJ95z jongho is not doing the super low part though, he did more of a mid-low harmony, in which ‘light’ would still be jongho’s lowest note in ateez’s music and ‘truth untold’ for his lowest note- i think there are 3 different voices in that chorus part, split into the center/main part (yeosang), the slightly higher harmony (jongho), and an extremely low harmony which could either be computer-generated or sung by one of the more bass-voiced members/producers
@@preciousnourishment I just found out that Jongho actually goes really high in the chorus and there is another person singing in the chorus. I think they filtered Jongho's vocals which is why you don't really heear it.

JONGHO is one of the best vocalists in kpop history. Period like his range is magical
His supported notes at best are C#3-G4/G#4 (he never supports his head voice/mixed register) but the fact that he's able to utilize his mixed register up to C6! (unsupported) is already great. I'm j hoping KQ would stop giving him high notes that r higher than his supported range cuz that would def be brutal for his vocal chord if they keep continuing that, especially the kingdom performance has so much tension u can see his larynx gets rlly high.

Jongho, the highest Jimin has gone is A5 (Let Me Know) and the highest Jongho has gone is B5 (Wonderland Kingdom) unless you count the bonus clip at the end

@Oriane L i feel like jongho has good support up to C5, as he pulls that out pretty often and consistently in ateez songs (and live) which some i didn’t include so it wasn’t repetitive. of course, i don’t really have the knowledge to speak on this though

tho supporting up to F4 alone is great :) , since most male vocalists those days cant support at all . Let alone having an actual supported range .
I think he is the best male vocalist in 4th gen .
And btw average famale vocalists are the one who usualy can support up to B4 ( tho it is not necessary ), most male vocalists who can support up to A4 or B4 are usualy above average and consider very skilled and top teir .
Examples :
Kyuhyun suju ( the best male vocalist in kpop by far )
Supports Bb2/B2-B4/C5-F5
At best Bb2-D5/Eb5(in the studio)-F#5
Chen exo supports A2-A4 (the only idol in the history of kpop who can bring support down to A2 , he has the most developed lower register in kpop )
At best A2-Bb4 .
Ryeowook suju supports D3-Bb4/B4-F#5/G5( one of the most developed head voice )
Beakhyun exo supports C3-G#4/A4 ( very extensive range for a male vocalist F#2-C#6 )
D.O supports D3-A4/Bb4 ( he has one the best agility between male vocalists )
All those vocalists are technically above average and very skilld .

he hasn't hit an Eb6 and E6, those were mostly shrieks, the D6 is a sung note tho

was the C6 mixed? a really heady mix or just upper register? because if it's mixed :000 sohyang and yeonjung are the only people in kpop i know can mix 6th octave lol. (sohyang ain't kpop ik)
i think it’s mixed, since he can do falsetto notes a lot easier (up to B5 at least, since he does that in thanxx) and he seemed to struggle a bit there, so i think it may be a heady mix, but of course i don’t really know lol
