I have a dc07 carpet like yours but the hose is an aftermarket that’s needs to be replaced and the brush roll is somewhat shot and the entire vacuum is breaking apart especially cause it doesn’t want to recline unless you Fidel with it so I just tore it down the motor is the only thing that is in amazing condition, main reason I tore it down cause my neighbor was taking a look at the cyclone then dropped it and it broke in half but i reused the clip that holds the bottom part of the bin and put it on a dc07 all floors that didn’t have one, I did get the dc07 carpet for around $10 from savers and I got the all floors at savers for $12.99, I still have all the parts for the dc07 carpet (at least I think), great video👍🏼 I definitely enjoy watching all of your videos
Cool, must be a very rare find, Owning the Dyson DC07 carpet from 2004 is very interesting, the Dyson DC07 looks similar to the DC07 original vacuum acquisition from 2 years ago.
Cool find. Sounds almost like my dc14 did with the clutch going out. Amazon is where I got all my parts for my DC14 (new hose, new handle and wand assembly, clutch assembly, brush bar, filters. And all were Dyson parts except for the filters.
Great find but sounds to me like the belt is abit loose that attaches to the brushbar, and you need a replacement/smaller rubber belt as soon as possible imo, I say that because i just recently picked up a DCO7 from a neighbour for free and it made the same loud noise but then got obnoxiously loud, the problem in the end was that the rubber belt was very loose to the point it was shaking the brushbar about violently which then shattered the soleplate and cracked the brushbar quite badly, The replacement parts i found did the job
i used to have a dc07 and i loved it! my mom and dad moved in with me and my grandpa and she threw it out because it sounded like it was going to explode but the real problem was I had not gotten to replacing the filter yet because it was still on the factory filters :(. long story short i ended up buying a Dyson v6 because it was the cheapest at the time but one day when i get a better job i will buy a Dyson ball animal 2/3 (animal because i have a 15-year-old chihuahua and he sheds like crazy!

In the UK we have the Dyson DC07 Tool Kit it looks very similar to the DC07 Carpet

That is a rarity! congrats on obtaining it. It sounds like there's a bearing problem either in the motor or the brushroll
Definitely the brushroll. I took the belt out and it sounds fine, if a little worn. New brushroll will be ordered soon for it

this looks simular to the the UK model of the dc 07 origin but except parts of the UK version is yellow had softer brushes and had a narrower solepate
Our DC07 models without clutches were a lot louder than that, it was a damn horrible thing to use.
