I’ve used Leica m mount Voigt lenses on my Fuji cameras for the past 5 years and also used Carl zeiss lenses too and the colour rendering and micro contrast is simply amazing

how to set photo 40mp xt5?
creative look on new sony cameras it´s more like film simulations of fuji. Only you cant configure the Wb to creative look profiles
I’m using 3 systems micro 4/3. APS-S and still several years old full frame DSLR. I borrowed my friends X-T5 for a day but frankly it’s just a bunch of recent tech and took me away from the simple basics that I enjoy in photography. Ergonomics (my Pentax DSLR wins this hands down over the X-T5 and my X-E1 and X-E4 is worse), composition and the exposure triangle. My friend is daunted by the specs and options to shoot with her X-T5 but I told her to forget about all that - just leave it on aperture priority and just worry about her composition, choice of focal length and creative control with aperture. The rest of the tech is just marketing and won’t be of much help. I’m a photographer of 40 yrs and still shoot medium format and 35mm film as well

This is what I'm saying, it's a great pair - but with the latest Fujifilm firmware update when you shoot at f2 it shows in exif data f22....
The X-T5 made me a better photographer, to be honest
May I ask you why? And what have you used before the X-T5?
@@thomasa.243 I think there're 2 reasons: 1. the controls of the camera helped me to finally nail the exposure. I used to have cameras like canon eos rebel, nikon v1, and they had pasm controls which didn't give me complete sense of exposure preferences, that's why I would shoot at auto or priority modes. With the fuji I finally got the exposure 100% under my control, and this camera shines when shooting in M. Even after I nailed the exposure, I still don't want to use a pasm body, because it's nice to have everything preset before you turn the camera on.
2. This camera brings a lot for a good user experience: the large evf, choice of lenses, it can even work in burst properly unless you don't shoot sports on daily basis, customisable buttons, the ibis, battery life. It has no disadvatages to me. Even for video it's very good, and I didn't even start to shoot videos with it.
@@kalistratov_photos ok, fair enough. Your second point is probably valid for every camera made nowadays but point one is a unique feature, I agree. Although I personally am happy that we have PASM now. I have started with an old Minolta SRT101 and while I still take out from time to time, switching to a more modern camera approach was like heaven 😂. I had a feeling that changing everything manually like that is just a hindrance. But it is good that we now practically have cameras that cater to all needs and preferences 👍
@@thomasa.243 that's right, even Fuji has all kids of bodies (like the xh2), and I didn't mention that even on x-t5 you can assign the dials with no indication for aperture or SS value, and it is helpful when you need to adjust the settings fast.
@@kalistratov_photos Oh, interesting. I did not know that you can also assign different buttons to the functionality. Back in the days, I bought the Fujifilm X-T1. Nobody wanted them back then. The experience, horrible. It was lagging, image quality, well, battery was not lasting and it felt cheaply made compared to other brands. So I sold it and kept my old DSLR. Then, I practically switched to only using smartphones until I decided last year to get a „real camera“ again. I looked at the X-T5 but this camera was impossible to buy. This is the reason I don’t have a Fujifilm now. If I want to buy something, I don’t want to leave my money at a store and wait 6 months to get something 😅

I am one of your first subscribers (I think it was around No. 50 or so) and I watch almost all of your videos but sometimes I am really deterred of your titles. Why don’t you just say what is in your videos instead of dramatizing the content? Just my 50 Cents…

Too much gear. It’s like running in circles. Any of these cameras is great for pretty much anything. I’d rather focus on training my eye. Specs, tilt screens, good glass… no one of that matters.
