Material density matters more for the jar than the force difference. With straightforward math it assumes that the mass of the object is all absorbed into the glass simultaneously , but in reality that plastic BB will deform slightly and absorb/dissipate some of the force. The steel BB, due to density, will not deform, and the full force of the BB will hit the jar at a single point, which is why it breaks it.
The force put on said bbs by the gun makes a difference too, your right about the plastic bb absorbing more of the force, but also as the weight of your bb increases, your velocity and range will decrease but the force behind it will increase, you would probably get better results from a electric rifle then a gas pistol though.
Thank you, just what I was looking for,I bought 200 6mm steelballs and wanted to se how they will work, very good video with no bad music, A+ from Me.. :-)
I see no problem, you just get a lower speed on the bullet, but it hits much harder,a bottle stand no chance. Try a 0,43 grams plastic ball, its as hard as steel almost...

@@HappyDude1 I agree, even with the settings on low. All guns are fairly loud to be fair but a BB gun is very quiet in comparison; great for target practice honestly. The accuracy is not much different from a real pistol.

Great video. I have a question. What do you think is the best BB revolver for home defense? Until I saw your Dan Wesson obliterate that car window, it's been on my mind. Than you.
@@HappyDude1 which one is that, please? I'm looking for better non-lethal means. I already have an Umarex T4E TR50 which when using Devastator rounds pack a mean punch. Considering your Dan Wesson shoots through car windows with ease, I thought that might be a good one to use.
@@kelalamusic9258 Using airgun for home defense is suicidal. Even multiple shots from real firearms like .38cal won't stop the attacker immediately. That's why bigger caliber like .45cal 1911 is used because of its stopping power. If a home invader has a knife and rush towards you, you'll be dead dude. I don't get it. Did the python with the plastic bbs break the jar or didn't it? The video you upload in a confusing manner.
