You probably won't now that they nerfed her. Even diaphone is dropping her for Baiken. Honestly why arcsys got rid of her plus stroke while you have characters with over excessive pressure and much higher risk reward is beyond me 🙃
@@Kuronoichig01 Yea that nerf made no sense when they left happy chaos/nago basically untouched. Sucks for the Ino players hopefully they get their plus frames and more.
I don't know but looking at a couple of videos of Potemkin fighting, I feel he lacks pressure and defense. Like he is always in negative and when he managed to land a attack it rapidly ends in neutral. Potemkin fights feel like a constant struggle that he can't catch the opponent because the moment he touch it, the opponent goes flying to neutral or he cannot even do anything because he lives in the corner.
Low defensive options is the only thing really correct about this. Pot oki is top tier and most of his confirms lead into it. He's just not a long pressure string character, the 3-4 moves you hit with in succession are all you need. With how many tools they gave him (armored advance, armored hard KD, anti airs, disjointed pokes, reflector, GARUDA, built in kara, etc) the amount of pressure you can apply as a grappler is insanely higher than the usual "you have to read your opponent."
@@Joshobeb That's true but it feels like he have low pressure for the reason that he is always the one getting the pressure because of how bad his defense is. Like you barely see him putting pressure on the opponent. Althougth once he is in the positive side and he is the one doing the pressure the fight often end right there, because of how much damage he deals. But if Pot lost the advantage and don't managed to kill the opponent, the fight will heavily turn against his favor, because is really hard for him to turn the tables for a second time(but not impossible). But is true that he have insane grappler pressure, but is hinder by his horrible defense tools.
@@theamericanbrotherofmightg3734 That’s a problem shared with much of the cast, gotta jab out or wait for them to push themselves out of pressure range then guess right. Ino also lacks literary any defensive tools and is horribly hindered by it and sub par offense compared to others in the roster. Potemkin has an armored offense that can be charged during any move like mays dolphins and a ton of range and pressure on his normals. That plus his Garuda and mega fist make him a beast at pressuring close and longer range footsies. Plus his flick and grab make approaches from mid+ air an nightmare for Ino, having to do cheesy dive kicks and her newly (and unnecessarily) nerfed heavy stroke the big tree to get in and even then having a rough go. He also has by FAR the most health in the game and while his combos are short his damage is insane. This means that he actually gets more than others off many stray hits and has much easier execution for new players. (Easier to memorize too) More damage + more health means he has to win neutral less than other characters to win the game, Ino double wall broke off a full combo one round and he still had mad hp to play with. Pot definitely isn’t lacking rn and his representation in the ongoing CEO tournament proves his viability even at high level.
You've never fought a good Potemkin, and you're looked at 3 or 4 videos of high level players and taking that as a sample size. You have nowhere near enough data/experience.
6:14 this man out here with the double read

These are great! I never know what to do against Ino's pressure as Pot
Also @7:35 I didn't know they had Bridgette's theme in this game
About 7:35, they don't. This channel plays their own music over the matches
I struggle with ino pressure too.

Heya man! you seem to get a lot of people asking about the songs, so why not put them in order in the description? 👍

He really just gets outpaced. Unless you’re getting constantly outplayed it’s very easy to not respect Potemkin

I don’t understand why pot keeps using that ammo move as an okie, it’s not fooling anyone and is super slow
it's his best oki tool +19 on block, long ass hitbox with guard crush. lot's of his moves are also hard KD whitch is perfect for geruda impact.
