Tattoos are an exchange. Clients pretty much buy your art. My clients don’t owe me anything after they paid me and left my shop 🤷🏽♀️ I don’t even get upset if they don’t tag me in posts of getting the tattoo. Once I permanently put the art on their skin it now belongs to them.
Okay. So if a Tattooer owns the tattoos that are on someone else body; How does the person with the tattoos get out of that situation ? How do you return a tattoo ? Tattoos have a one time value; And once it's purchased, it belongs to the purchaser free and clear; Because tattoos have no resale value. If a studio takes a picture of a musician, it isn't for the tattoos. Guitar magazine doesn't care about the tattoos, they care about the musician.
Just started the ep but this also happened back in the day with Randy orton from WWE. The lawsuit also failed I believe. Also CM Punk from WWE often has his tattoos altered in action figures or games because it is a GI Joe tattoo.
Any recommendtions for successful self taught tattoo artists? I live in a small town and inspiring mentorship seems to be slim pickings, as much as i would like one.
When you tattoo people that famous, either you anticipate this kind of stuff or you just shut up....or charge more... imagine Rihanna's tattoo artist !!!!
@@honesttattooerpodcast ok, i realise i was a bit rough, my point was you can't ask for money for the exposition of a tattoo you did. To me, the customer pays the tattoo then does whatever with it. And if Bang bang is Rihanna's artist (part im not sure i understood correctly), I bet he's doing well!!! Take care guys!!!
I love every single episode!! Fire content and I’m picking up things that matter to the industry. Thank you guys for all your hard-work in pushing out these content! It never misses.
Love this episode so much! Wish i was a guest to chime in on changes i've been seeing in the tattoo industry n my experiences
Thank you! We're gearing up to start a live show so we can include you guys in the conversations in real time. Thanks so much for watching.
