After watching these interviews over the course of your career, I see you're not the person I thought you were. Nearly, if not, 50 years from when I saw you as a child of 14, we were right in front so close the photographers blocked our view. I still see you getting them to move and our eyes met briefly. I know you thought why is he not home in bed, bc I was out partying, that's why. The person I see had such thoughts that were expressed best not in public, a little catch in speaking tells me you were thinking more than you said. Your voice sometimes quiet, sometimes rough gave you away to someone who is, not you, but like you maybe after all. It's not true but there goes the iconic status, you're more real than that. I'm glad.
I saw Jeff Starship in 1981 with Grace, Paul and Micky Thomas singing and I was so blown away by the power and quality of the vocals (and music) that I didn't stop raving about it for 5 years! Hearing her sing a wee bit on this interview makes me think she could hit the stage even now and kick ass again on "White Rabbit."
I love Grace! She was and still is the 60s. And how cool is the fact that Janis Joplin was her best friend back in the day? ^^ These 2 ladies rocked then and they still rock now. I wonder how Janis would look if she lived to see old age. I've had the honor of going to Sausalito California to the art gallery and I've seen artwork that both Grace and Janis did. My favorite one was a huge pencil drawing of Janis. She looked so happy and vibrant. My favorite one Janis did was of a lady posing on her side. I hope Grace feels better and gets well.

Grace Slick was the most charismatic, talented electric performer I witnessed from '66 to '72 in an environment filled with incredibly talented crazy people. Given the opportunity to go back and experience that scene again-as a college student at State College in SF-I would do so in the blink of an eye and I don't know anybody who was there living in that magic who wouldn't do the same thing.
Absolutely LOVE this lady! ...her rebellious, take no prisoners attitude, the uncompromising way she conducts her life not to mention her booming yet beautiful no nonsense voice..she is everything that rock n' roll stands for and I salute her for it. We all should consider ourselves blessed to have her around!
The music of the Airplane meant everything to me. And I admired Gracie and I still do. I love her humor, her voice, the artwork. The guitarists and the other vocals were fabulous as well. I cherish the music. I am a child of the 60's and the summer of love.

So glad I got to see her live in '73 (?) at the Mississippi River Festival--- a short drive from St. Louis. I was a tagalong with my two older brothers. What a powerful vocal! Great concert.
