@@skipprice6843 No problem as you was showing the window trim held with a couple of screws and you mentioned the track and window fuzzys. My 67 C10 is just painted around the upper door and around the window frame. I just didn’t know how you made it. I know some plastics will take shape if you heat them a little like ABS. I just worked at dealers too long and other shops, but the parts department would ask if we needed the door belt molding. (The fuzzy part that touches the glass) inside and out. They are vulcanized to steel and clip into slots in the doors metal. Maybe you have a video on that. It was getting late and I was looking at door panel designs. DK, Omaha. ASE master since 78. Hi Skip, great video, I can’t wait to try to do mine! I do have one question, it looks as is your abs sheet is curved at the top and bottom? Is it and how do you achieve that? Thanks
There may be a slight curve on the doors, the headliner and back of cab are definitly curved, lol abs will bend when heated, a heat gun works best, practice first! It def has a sweet spot, any more heat and it just flops and distorts, abs can also be bent in a brake, i actually did the door panels in a brake, slight heat added..for the compound curves in the headliner and corners, i actually used heat gun and a basketball…just heat and pressed onto the ball, you can do any shape you want that way..
@@skipprice6843 Excellent video! I had this same question - wondering if was an optical illusion in 2D but this confirms you do indeed have a little 'English' on those! :) Great explanation on how you did each element of this and the groove accents are amazingly simple to execute, yet add a superb detail.
Nice work, looks great!
I love it too. Looks like a 100 point show pickup to me !!!!
Killer work, Skip.
You make it look so easy but you know that’s hardLol
Nice iam working on 1946 chevy I think same truck as yours
Hi, great work, can I ask where the arm rests are from?
They were just a fiberglass piece. i got from a guy that had them ,google armrests, ive seen them before..
On the window trim with the door inner belt molding (Fuzzies) what is that made from?
Not sure what you mean? The fuzzies are just stock pieces.the windlace is round foam covered in vinyl.
