In that environment, I was surprised at how much the light tan stood out. I suspect the CCE pattern would have worked better if the day had been sunny, because bright sunlight tends to cast dark shadows while also making some surfaces appear much lighter in color. Then again...mostly I just saw movement, unless you were fully exposed to the camera angle.
On the first shot, the camo did not work because I eyes were drawn directly to the wearer, i.e. the colors did not match the rest of the environment. Same deal with the second shot, i.e. my eyes were immediately attracted to the wearer. The third and fourth shot I did not see the wearer so the woodland works at longer distances. I saw the wearer in the fifth and sixth shot right away because he stuck out in the environment. The seventh sho where the wearer was in a creek bed with only his head showing had the camo worked. This scares the hell out of me because I have a lot of woodland camo and it does not appear to work well. I am switching over to flecktarn. Woodland only works at long, long distances so don't get close which means a good optic on your rifle.
Sorry to tell you that but it's not french camouflage the cut of your jacket look like french F2 cut but that's all the pattern isn't french (I'm french)
@@PegasusTests well they sold you m81 woodland the pattern is different in tones and in shapes it's not supposed to be small and long shapes but large and wide shapes
@@PegasusTests Hello, FR here as well, Codi is right, I used the CCE extensively and yes the cut might be close to the previous BDU in dotation, but it seems quite clear that the pattern is a woodland not a CCE. Do you remember the name of the surplus ?

Flecktarn is also great close up.

Bo0ught it at a Surplus Store in Paris and It matches the Beaugard Cover I bought from Varusteleka so I guess its close enough. :)
