    Thanks for you vidio. I came there in 2017 and rode one of your motorbikes from HCMC to Ha Long bay and back to Ha Noi. It was the trip of a life time. The bike a Honda 150 cc was great and ideal for the roads. So I was glad I hired a good bike that did the job with ease. Thank you for your friendly service and advice. All the best to you and your family fron Perth Australia.

      Thanks for the comment. The bike was probably a Honda XR, great machine.

    Very good vid covering motorbiking in Vietnam. I like the way you break down the regions and explain how enormous the journey really is. People think it's a thumb sized blip on a map and discover what you described... 1700 hard highway miles from HCMC to Ha Noi.

      The Mekong is not great for driving. Hot, Flat, Busy.
      But in general yes, I need to go down there and research properly. It is on my to do list.

    What are the current travel restrictions/requirements for Canadian tourists visiting Vietnam related to COVID? I hope to come next spring and bike around for 3 weeks through central Vietnam. Thanks

      Currently no tourists allowed in, and no framework for when this will change. At a guess, I think we might see a shift around Feb 2022.
      I don't think you will see any signs of plans toward policy change until Jan 2022. So check back then!

    The word “motorbike” implies to me an underpowered bicycle fitted with a lawnmower engine. I’m assuming that you can purchase tours that feature the rental of legitimate dirt bikes or duel sport motorcycles.

    • @Tigitmotorbikes
      @Tigitmotorbikes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nothing wrong with a lawnmower engine.
      But yes, we do have some KTM dirt bikes for tours (not legitimate)

    Weather in Vietnam is easy to memorize: North has 4 season. South has 2: hot and fucking hot ;-)

    • @Tigitmotorbikes
      @Tigitmotorbikes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I suppose you can simplify anything down if you want to.
      But in short. Yes but no, and for this video, despite living in Vietnam for over 10 years. I had to consultant multiple Vietnamese to try and get to the real truth. Which is why the zoning is weird and explained in the weather section. The over simplified North/ South divides don't actually work for the weather in Vietnam.

      @@Tigitmotorbikes yeah, obviously it's a joke, but it's only inaccurate because it does not mention middle Vietnam :-) Jokes asside, the climate change actually messed with seasons, they are not what they used to be as locals also say ...

    If you are using a motobike to travel to remote villages watch out for robbery by local policement. see this story for more details: th-cam.com/video/_S0zHSfCcOI/w-d-xo.html

    International driving licenses are no good in Vietnam. You must have a TRC to get a Vietnamese driving license. To get a TRC you must be married to a Vietnamese national or hold a work permit and be working for a sponser in Vietnam. Then if you work here, you need to purchase Vietnam health insurance which is a law, and before that, you must have home country and Vietnam background checks and have all your documents legalized, translated and stamped. Or, you can ride a 50 cc motobike after purchasing mandatory motorbike insurance for Vietnam. You cannot come here and just ride a moto over 50cc around Vietnam. The traffic police can fine you, impound your moto, and even deport you if they want. So, don't believe there Vietnam travel videos that make motobike travel glorious in Vietnam.
