you’re so lucky that your high school provided you with these people who are so similar to you and who value their inner child the way you do. adult friendships, esp early 20’s are so difficult to navigate so this was really helpful to see that some people do still value being “silly” and having authentic friendships

What Javis said about being together and 'forced' to be in the same space. I think part of that is not forgetting doing 'boring' day to day things together is also important to actually build a deep, solid friendships. Coffee's and experiences are also important, but the boring day to day things are what make you be a part of each others life.

Watching this confronted me with internalised trauma from the male gaze?? as in, seeing male and female friends be so cuddly and physically close and comfortable in a completely platonic way is SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL and should be the most normal thing in the world, and yet I feel this part within that thinks “this is not possible” and would be challenged by that, insecure, hyper-self conscious, uncomfortable, on edge? It’s sad, and also eye opening, to acknowledge that within myself. Maybe someone can relate. Anyway, thank you so much for showing us what a healthy adult friendship can look like, we need to see what is possible and normal to others to realise this in our own lives. This level of intimacy is actually what I want, it’s what we need as humans! I’ve heard it being labelled “comfort contact”. Seeing others mirror this to me helps me to know whete fo grow in my own life ❤️❤️

@heather1628 thanks for sharing you feel the same, makes me feel less alone in it too! We will set ourselves free from this, I’m sure :)) 🌸💛 If anything, this shows us what we want in our hearts. That’s beautiful to know. Now we can act on it.

A theme in all your videos is you having friends. I admire that about you. It is rare especially in your generation

Jahvis is so real in the beginning 😂 Honestly, being an adult brings so much extra responsibility to your plate. What I am trying to do is moving things around in my plate to leave enough space for friends and socializing (at all times). So if a friend randomly reaches out and wants to talk, you can still accommodate them - even if you say “Can I call you in 2 hours?” and move around your schedule a bit.
But the most important part is reciprocating. If people don’t reach out and seek your friendship, asses the situation and maybe let them go. Not saying stop being friends with your friend that is busy taking care of their newborn child, they need more time to adjust to their new life. But if you are the one reaching out to a friend 9/10 times and they barely show interest in your life, maybe it is time to let them go. Not everybody is meant to be staying in your life forever.

to be honest, i wish for my friendships to stay as genuine and pure as yours are. there is really something about childhood friends... just warms your heart. they have known you since you were trying to understand/make sense of the world, you guys give definitions to so many things together whereas in uni/later in life everybody has there own belief systems and thought processes that more of than not they are not willing to change that.
sending positive energy to you and your friends and i hope that you get to do friend meet ups more often.

I have been a huge fan of your vlogs for quite a long time and I always admire the friendships that you have, even though you were living abroad for a long period of time and you never lost the connection with your friends which amazes me. as I found it difficult to maintain friendships especially when you are far away from them, this video was sooo inspiring and valuable, thank you for sharing xx

For me school mates all met good woman while I continue to almost 40 this year with cheaters and playas and still trying to find that one faithful girl. School mates started family and as time went you got left behind cause you don't share the stuff they experiencing after having kids you still trying to just find that one girl to share your life with who will be faithful and you can share life with and start a family.
