One of the key areas in which good governance can be measured in any country is the extent of her Judicial independence. The Judiciary as known, is the legal institution of any nation that adjudicates and interprets laws.
In Nigeria, legal system and its independence has remained questionable in the last few years. Citizens do not longer regard the court of law as arbiter of truth and the last hope for the common man.
The popular saying "Justice delayed is justice denied" has become a common phenomenon and gradually paints the judiciary in bad lights. Weak penal code and unnecessary adjournment of cases is a peculiar case in the Nigeria Judiciary.
In the wake of all these undeserving experiences in Nigeria judiciary, TVC NEWS STRAIGHTalk with former President of the West Africa Bar Association and a Human Right Activist, Mr. Femi Falana [SAN] exclusively discussed Criminal Justice System in Nigeria.

But Femi Falana still did not answer what if not the Rawlings treatment shocked Ghana back to shape after it deteriorated as far as Nigeria is; evidence shows he has no answer for that. Shock treatment works; but also has unintended consequences. For example the spirit of entrepreneurship and industriousness in Ghana is dead and will be hard to revive. That is the better argument.
