This is truly one truck that doesnt seem to need any adjustments or add ons out of the box, just put your two 3s packs in and let it rip. It handles the power perfectly! This is one truck that I will keep! Love it!
Late comment but: I bought an LST XXL2e w/ the seal broken on the box. I think it was on display. Looked and ran new. It's all beat up now but still runs perfect. $20 in broken parts in 3 years. Just from the looks of the xl3, having never ran it personally, the xxl2e is a better truck. If you know R/C and not new to the hobby, a center trans can be an advantage over a center diff (CAN be, not IS). Glad I bought an xx2e and not the xl3.
Ec5's are actually the same size as xt90's, you just have to be careful about polarity. They are a tick looser fit, but you can spread the male bullet slightly to tighten up the fit without having to change the connector.
@ejb 84 Kraton 6S is a beast. Not really the same kind of truck though. This is more of a true monster truck. Plush suspension, big swaying movements, just large and in charge. The Kraton 6S is a flyer. Give you more of that truggy feel when power sliding around. More control in the turns and just feels like a racers basher. If you are looking for something with more ground clearance to conquer the snow and sand dunes then the 3XLe is the way you want to go. Otherwise through some sand paddles on either one and blast! Hope this helps.
Thanks for the comparison with xxl2e. I wonder how well the 3xl-e truck handles 6S power? The xxl2e is advertised as 60+mph whereas the 3xl-e at 50+mph so I wonder if the motor is not as powerful as xxl2e? Although this truck maybe lighter so probably same comparable power.
Rc Addict The XXL2e body was one of the best monster truck bodies I've seen but I had to see it in person first. The shape of the 3XLe body reminds me of the Losi 1/5 MT XL but the graphics is something that must bee seen in person.
@phillymac That is a screaming price. The only issue I have heard on this truck was to shim the diffs. I did not run into that issue but that was it. For me it's been a tank and I only run on 6S. If you question durability, check out @Sergeants J's RC Adventures. He puts a pounding on his and it comes back for more.
craig mcclellan It should work with your nitro. The hinge mount fit right in where the normal body mount would. It's just turned upside down and connected with body pins.
Daryll Guiang I never like telling someone how to spend their money. I had the Arrma Nero. I was not a big fan of that truck. I only ran it once but no breakages. I like the XXL2e but if you are looking at new the 3XLe is selling for less on Horizon Hobby's site.
slaterbone The front and rear clip are the same as the xxl2e except for the shock shafts and rod ends. The center is a completely different chassis. As long as you are looking for the front and rear assembly parts you should be good.
What else is needed to convert my xxl2e to the 3? Besides the chassis, top plates, steering setup, servo, skid plates and center diff with drive shafts? Can I use my stock xxl2e esc and motor? I'm no stranger to conversions..my xxl2e started out as an aftershock and then I converted it to a full lst and then converted to the xxl2e.
OMG WTFBBQ That's a good one. I think for the most part you have everything down. Keep in mind the shock shafts are 5mm on the 3XLe but I don't think that is a sticking point. I think the motor is the only carry over for the electronics. The original ESC on the XXL2e was a 90A, the 3XLe is a 150A. The servo on the 3XLe is a 1/6th scale servo but I think you have that handled when you mentioned the servo and steering setup. Hope this helps. Keep me posted, I would love to see pictures or a video of when this is completed or the build of it!
@@ReadySetRC you have to use a 2 pack 6s or 4s. One 6s pack won't fit in either side battery holder. The previous LST does not have a center diff. This LST does.
Eliav Edri Correct the wheelbase is 403.9mm on the 3xle vs 391mm on the 2xle on their site. This minimal difference should not improve or hamper each vehicle in any way. I am referencing the overall length (without wheelie bar) 23 inches (584mm) and width 18.5 inches (470mm), which listed on Losi's site as identical between the two vehicles.
The Losi LST XXL2 e should only be run on 6s. So much fun. RUN IT!! I have not broken anything in 11 months and counting! The 3XLe looks like it’s little brother?

@TheWorldWeLiveIn77 BGuy
I truly enjoy this beast!
Its a beast right out of the box. Awesome truck and I’ve had many.
@Sam Scornaienchi Really love this truck one of my favorite MT's

I'll take both😊
I still run mine, will never get rid of it
Great unboxing! THe 3XLe looks awesome.
Remote Addicted Thank you for watching!👍
Great write up and comparison mate. I got to stop watching your vids, now you got me eyeing off this one lol. 👍👍
Galthain LOL! Thank you for the support brother!
Is the losi lst 3xl-e after market body friendly? Or only losi bodies? I didn’t see the rear body mount.
12DOORF I'll have to check that out but aftermarket bodies should work, you just would need to bore the holes for the hinge body mount.

@twinturbotony93 I've actually done that a few times to my other trucks👍👍
Does this use the same spare parts as the 3xle or not ? And if not are there spare parts still available ?
@Maxim Some of the parts translate between the two trucks. Parts for the XXL2e are still available but you may need to source eBay.
I have to say this is a great looking truck. At first I didn't like it, but I saw your video and changed my mind, great video👍
Rc Basher Boi Thank you brother that means a lot. Thank you for watching!
Kraton 6s or losi 3l help me decide am not a big basher more of running there fields threw snow up hills and mild jumps and sand box play

donnybrooks18 Check out my run video on 6S. Handles it but I think it is under powered. I would adjust the punch.
I think it lools kinda funky.. I love the look of the older body And wheels way way better looking

Great looking truck very similar among both. Both trucks are awesome
Noeys FastRc Thank you for watching and the support!
Hey ready set great vid..how is this truck? I can get a new $460? Is is a good price?

@@ReadySetRC...thx again for info!!! Keep up vids!!! Great stuff!!! Really enjoy ur channel!
Don't think I would call that a kit but jus picked one up for 350 shimed an oiled diffs lovein it
@Matt Moran Totally a great truck. I really enjoy this beast!
Plz mention the upload link above to find this truck??? Plz
Adeel Hashmi I'm not sure I understand your question. Both trucks can be purchased on www.horizonhobby.com site.
Hard decision....I have a nitro that these bodies fit on and im curious how that flip thing is attached
craig mcclellan It should work with your nitro. The hinge mount fit right in where the normal body mount would. It's just turned upside down and connected with body pins.
I really am looking forward to seeing this truck doing some good jumping and bashing!!👍👍
Rc Rehab Thank for watching
what should i buy if you have to decide, arrma nero big rock, losi xxl2 or this lst3xl?
Daryll Guiang I never like telling someone how to spend their money. I had the Arrma Nero. I was not a big fan of that truck. I only ran it once but no breakages. I like the XXL2e but if you are looking at new the 3XLe is selling for less on Horizon Hobby's site.
Ready Set RC thank you so much for your time.
Same wheel offset?
@Derek E Yes sir.
I have the xxl2e and run it on 6s. I have never had issues with the slipper. I used castle link on the ESC to change the settings and it runs well.
@Braden Wingham 👍👍
Are there parts universal I have a 2xxl e and parts are slim for it
slaterbone The front and rear clip are the same as the xxl2e except for the shock shafts and rod ends. The center is a completely different chassis. As long as you are looking for the front and rear assembly parts you should be good.
exploding rear diffs ?
No, have not experienced.
Ready Set RC great news
5li3e HPI pins. I've had my xxl2e almost 3 years and never have I had to repair my diffs. 5s Lipo max I run however.
thats really great to know thanks !!!!

So this confirms that the 3xle does not come with anti roll bars
Alvinly Borgonia You are correct, they removed the sway bar that was in the XXL 2e
Nice!
bigteedo111 Thanks for watching!
I don't like the fact that you're forced to use to separate battery pack and the center diff.
not sure i understand

@@Victic005 Gotcha but those battery straps on the XXL2e were crazy😂
none of these are stickers... except these, these, these and these... lol sweet rc though
😂🤣
Great vid. A few weeks ago i put those tires on my xxl2e lol
@blanky blank Good setup.
They are not exactly the same dimensions, go to Losi site and you will see that the 3xx has a longer wheelbase by about 15mm
Eliav Edri Correct the wheelbase is 403.9mm on the 3xle vs 391mm on the 2xle on their site. This minimal difference should not improve or hamper each vehicle in any way. Yes I know they are quite minor differences, I just pointed out that they are not exactly the same lol
id love to own a 1/8 scale one day
Amistry20 The Arrma 8th scales is a good place to start. The price is right and the durability is proven.
Amistry20 eBay, Craigslist
The Losi LST XXL2 e should only be run on 6s. So much fun. RUN IT!! I have not broken anything in 11 months and counting! The 3XLe looks like it’s little brother?
DirtyPIRATE8313 They are the same size. Maybe long lost twin, lol!
why dont they make this truck in Nitro??
I guess the execs feel nitro is dead
I need to pick someone's brain.
