- A Homage to Jan Hammer- State Azure.
This is a version of: Livestream // Miami Vice/Synthwave/Jan Hammer soundscapes, with the noodles and menu item checks removed.
It took me ages to sync it all back up in audacity and align the beats. Other than that it's unchanged. It loses maybe 5 minutes.

This morphed into www.stateazure.bandcamp.com/track/city-limits which is perfectly fine but misses some of the spontaneity of the livestream (well, I thought so anyway).

Amazing Work!
Jan Hammer most notably known for his work on Miami Vice underscored and defined that world of cool. As Costume and set designers created the look of the show, little known fact is that the colorful pastels in and about Miami was mostly created by the show. They Literally painted much of the buildings and structures that were in very very poor condition prior. Those Art deco buildings originally did not have such variety of colors being far more neutral as those found in much of the Caribbean. What little pigment remained on the aging structures were faded and bleached by the sun. So ironically the show gave Miami the look we all assumed was already a natural fixture of the location. Jan Hammer also didn't score the show in Miami or California. He did so in his apartment in upstate New York of all places!!. So imagine, this perfect underscoring of Miami, its given vibe, was created in the exact opposite environment of inspiration.

Wow, very interesting. I was a huge Miami-vice watcher back in the days and Jan Hammers music still stays around, Im now 48, cheers!
The 80s were so magical. I try to tell my kids but they just shake their heads and laugh. Music like this touches the soul.

Amazing, so glad I found this. Not sure I understand the difference between this and the livestream. Can somebody please explain "with the noodles and menu item checks removed." to me?
Due to the semi improv nature of the livestream State sometimes looks through the library of samples to find the right one. This is accompanied by mouse clicks and a quick plonk on the ivory to determine he's got the right sample. All I've done is edit them out.
