I have about 7 pounds of wool fabric that I want to dye pink with cochineal, any idea how I go about figuring out how much cochineal I would need? Thanks in advance!!
Wow - you have a treasure trove of wool! The amount of cochineal is dependent on the shade of pink you'd like to achieve. For a light color, you can work with 1-2% dry weight of fiber. You can increase the percentage to move into darker shades: 3-5% for medium and 6-10% for dark. You can also consider multiple dips to deepen the color, so you can always start with less and build up the color that way. Have fun 💕
I love watching your videos every Saturday morning in bed with my breakfast and coffee ☕️ 😊❤ thank you for sharing! Xx

I don't want to grind up bugs!!! Haha!! But it's a beautiful color!!!
Heehee - I thought the same before I actually did it. They truly look like little tiny pebbles, so might not be so gross for you to try 😉
@MargaretByrdColorQuest Yes I could grinn up tiny pebbles!
@@barbaracabrera207 Mind over matter...you got this!
