My rule of thumb earlier on was that if a team has high quality champions with low player power they haven't geared them properly and are easier to beat. That worked for me, even facing teams with higher player power. On the other hand, I rather feared a team with lower quality players with higher player power. Sometimes they are lower spend players with better gear. Of course that is just one aspect of the decision making process.
Great video, I was looking to understand this. With the 'new' algorithm for match making, player power and team power have become more important. You need your player power to not get too far above your team power, this particularly effects mid game players who have dropped into lower tiers and suddenly find themselves being matched with pages of very tough opponents, the same player power but much stronger team powers, and well built too.
I watched your Exposed video. I'm making a comment, not skipping your ads, and watching the video all the way through. Plus it helps I love your content!
As promised we are liking and commenting on every video here on out. Get that money bro. Great video for those that didn't realize all this. I recently got my arbiter and a lyysandra in the same 2 days. Put them in my fastest gear regardless of other stats and my madame just speed tuned. My foli does all the heavy lifting. Needless to say my team power is like 105k and I demolish most teams at 3100 gold 4
Dude you have nailed the point home. I have been saying this same stuff for months. Player power is just a guide to how well some one has their team built. I can beat teams 30-40K above me then go "oh I will kill this team 30-40K below me" and get the L. Drives me crazy. So now I look at team comp and try to avoid the dangerous ones. But I still find myself getting sucked into a bad fight. Great video and thanks for covering this topic.
I was going to make a joke about warning before going into the great Hall so I can put on my sunglasses but after actually looking at it I feel like I need a video about the great Hall just like this one because I’m shocked that crit damage is more filled out than accuracy.
great video, showcasing again why you are the number one content creator for Raid. I honestly dont know what I didnt learn from you and what could possibly be left now...
Awesome video HH, I have always wondered about the Power figure next to each champ. It was very helpful to see just how much of a difference the great hall makes. Looks like I am off to grind the arena some more. keep up the amazing work
Thank You!!! Helps soooo much. I still believe that speed should weigh in more heavily in calculating power. It is the most important stat in arena and it is almost as though it is an afterthought.
Thank you for this video HH, this is very important info, i kind of already notice this a while ago, that i should avoid certain teams with too much power over mine, because the times i have give it a try my tayrel debuffs got resisted more often, so my team at the moment is around 110k power and i dont defy teams over 150k cause i know my debuffs wont land. Nontheless, this video is going to help a lot new players :)
Still a bit confused -- but this video definitely helped. I'm finding - and this is in lower gold tiers like bottom of 3 upper end of 2 -- you'll get a team that's 100k to 115k power. So for starters they're really fast (I realize speed isn't a thing for power rating) but then they also hit like a truck. So you end up thinking their crit rate/damage is probably lower, I bet I can take them even if they are faster, and then nope. They sit you down. This is with a team that's around 142k power with some tricks built in. Fairly fast, pretty decently tuned, etc. Anyway I'll keep trucking -- constantly trying to make heads or tails of this power number.
Great content...In silver, I usually only look at offensive and speed vs defensive...I wont fight defensive teams only because my mid crit damage isnt enough to take them down
Hey @HellHades, can you explain why there is a discrepancy between the totals shown in our Profile screen (champs+champ power+artifact+arena+mastery+great hall) and what is shown in game as the total Player Power? I noticed this in my own PP when tracking it over time, and my disparity is about 500k. Using your main account as an example, your total PP adding up the subcategories for your main account = 6.45 million, yet at the top of the screen is shows your PP as 7.5 mil. Do you know what underlying score is affecting this?
My highest win power difference when I was building my second acct arena team was when I was 75k power against 151k. Apoth, Warmaiden, Frostking followed by Skullcrown. Skullcrown wiped the floor with em lol. Was an amazing feeling.
What you recommend me? If i have a few anciend shard, void and sacred so it's better to wait for 2x chance for every type of shard and then use them or anytime?
Thanks for the vid, very informative. Do you have a vid on this arena build? I have all these champs but will not hit as hard, if you haven't, could you do one on FTP? :)
@HellHades so since we know the arena is going off account power and being in bronze still and struggling. I'm thinking I have too much power sitting in my vault for faction wars and it's making it harder for arena. What do you think?
Thanks, great vid, this have been puzzling me. Im still wondering why my 6th level Galek with 16gear and crit rate gloves is dangling around 18,5 k power..
Your level 60 Skullcrown also had full ascension vs. the unascended level 50. While I agree there was a large jump, how much of the 6k player power do you think was due to ascension?
I am in Gold 1 and yeah I feel more confident beating a team that has higher team power than I have because most of the time they make up lack of speed for raw stats, meaning I'll probably win the speed race.
Player power is how Plarium determines who you fight in the arena. I was thinking about getting rid of some of my less frequently used champions at level 60 to reduce my player power, because of how broken arena is. I know that is not a good solution.
I noticed that you choose to use Elhain's A3 as the first attack in Arena instead of her A2. Her A2 hits a lot harder on a single target(good damage to the others) and the A3 hits more consistantly to everyone, but less to the other teams Nuke. I go the other way around, to make sure I kill the nuke on the opposition. Should I try the other way around?
Elhain's A3 deals a lot more AoE damage, making it more likely a second nuker will finish the whole team, or at least two or three of them off. I only use her A3 first if they have a high priority target, usually someone with a crazy res like Raglin or Duchess. Depends on your team too; if you're relying on buffs like unkillable or counterattack, you might want to take out someone like Madame Serris or Rae first. But probably 9 times out of 10, I go for the A3.
Question is resistance only used against accuracy. so it is defense against skills getting off like (60% decrease def) whats should an average resistance be 100 - 200
i dont look at the team power in the arena, only at the enemy champs. last time i battled a team which was slow and tanky but usually no problem at all but they were frking hard to kill. after the battle (i won) i looked at their team power...fking 430k. mine was 140k xD. all i want to say is synergy and speed means everything
Don't think dungens count towards it. My total power is 458k out of which 414k comes from my champion power. So at early stages of the game like me, my f2p account can be very misleading in the arena when all I have is 2 6* champs, and 254 othe underleveled champions. Team power shld be given more weightage in arena rather than player power, hope they do that in the next patch, else il still be seeing legendaries in bronze 1.
I would still like to see you fight the other team in the arena to see if you would lose to them. just to prove it yenno, proving you can beat them is the same thing as proving you lose to them. teaches the same thing
no new players are going to be able to get arbiter anytime soon because with the current arena there is no way in hell they will be able to farm those medals to get one great hall bonus to level 10
Almost 2023, 2 years after release and still useful good content. Thank you^^
I have been wondering how power worked for AGES so this is super, super helpful. BIG THANKS ONCE AGAIN.
"All these teams look hard." Welcome to Bronze IV .
My rule of thumb earlier on was that if a team has high quality champions with low player power they haven't geared them properly and are easier to beat. That worked for me, even facing teams with higher player power. On the other hand, I rather feared a team with lower quality players with higher player power. yeah thats also good advise

This is still relevant 4 years down the road, and great advice for a newer player like me.
Incredibly useful HH! I knew the stat stuff but did not know the nuances of the numbers. Thank you for this awesome info. Very interesting.
Very informative video. Thanks @Hellhades.
I watched your Exposed video. I'm making a comment, not skipping your ads, and watching the video all the way through. Plus it helps I love your content!
I've been playing for nearly five months, and this is the first time I've learned what that's actually about. Thanks!
This is really good info, I always wondered about how it was made up and how it effects arena, thanks as always Hades, great vid

Absolutely love your content. Really makes me want to Like, Comment, and Subscribe :)

Mate your knowledge on this game is insane! Very valuable info, very insightful and really great to see what you look out for.
Been waiting for a video like this for a while ^_^ brilliant
As opposed to the sunglasses for your main account great hall, you should turn on the light in the room to see anything in that great hall!
great video, showcasing again why you are the number one content creator for Raid. I honestly dont know what I didnt learn from you and what could possibly be left now...

Thank You!!! Helps soooo much. I still believe that speed should weigh in more heavily in calculating power. It is the most important stat in arena and it is almost as though it is an afterthought.
Thanks HH. Enjoyed the video.
Thank you for the guide. I have a long way to go before I get to your free to play level. My arena team is only 47K right now.
Ngl, that was insightful hmm.. Thanks HH, appreciated.
I needed this breakdown thanks 🙏🏼

Thank you for this HH, you are the man!
Awesome! I’ve been askin about player power and team power in clan boss and what that number comes from, great video HH
U rock ! Very interesting as always
Solid video man! :)
That information is going to be key to reach silver 1 for me 😍😍
A much needed topic to cover. Much confusion on this topic.
You know you've reached late game when low player power teams are absolutely terrifying.
Great breakdown
thanks for the video!
Thanx for the info on that was very helpful
Gogo, thanx on your nice explanation
Great video thanks again
That first team not having shazaar in the lead was making my eye twitch
Good Info thanks mate
When you said Skullcrown naked, I thought, how cool would different outfits be for all the characters.
Another great vid
Yannica is so good against shields. Especially those full shield. So much damage.

Good stuff dude
Can you do an update of this? It would be cool to see how things are now with the arena
My highest win power difference when I was building my second acct arena team was when I was 75k power against 151k. Apoth, Warmaiden, Frostking followed by Skullcrown. Skullcrown wiped the floor with em lol. Was an amazing feeling.
90k here, beat 195k
What you recommend me? If i have a few anciend shard, void and sacred so
it's better to wait for 2x chance for every type of shard and then use
them or anytime?
Useful, really!
Hi hades loved the vid thanks for the vid as I was always wanting to know what player power is
Thanks for the vid, very informative. Do you have a vid on this arena build? I have all these champs but will not hit as hard, if you haven't, could you do one on FTP? :)
He's gone through all of them. Look at the one with him hitting silver arena for the first time
@HellHades so since we know the arena is going off account power and being in bronze still and struggling. I'm thinking I have too much power sitting in my vault for faction wars and it's making it harder for arena. What do you think?
Very interesting video!
Which team did you use for minotaur in this f2p account? which level of minotaur did you farm?
Thanks, great vid, this have been puzzling me. Im still wondering why my 6th level Galek with 16gear and crit rate gloves is dangling around 18,5 k power..
thanks for this
Your level 60 Skullcrown also had full ascension vs. the unascended level 50. While I agree there was a large jump, how much of the 6k player power do you think was due to ascension?
Is it better to have a bunch of Lv 1 Great Hall upgrades or like 2-3 at like Lv 3?
I am in Gold 1 and yeah I feel more confident beating a team that has higher team power than I have because most of the time they make up lack of speed for raw stats, meaning I'll probably win the speed race.

I have the worst player power in my clan but put up the most damage
I don't get it on your main account, you have 7.5m pp. However the sum of the different categories is: =1,4+3,1+0,2+0,3+1,4= 6,4m?
Does account power include gear that is not used?
How much effort goes into a 20 min video like this? Just a little curious
If you see me in your arena list avoid the power 😝
We always avoid you buddy
Good vid.
Maybe redo this one becous with arena now Player power seams to matter for matching if i got this right
Don't think dungens count towards it. My total power is 458k out of which 414k comes from my champion power. So at early stages of the game like me, my f2p account can be very misleading in the arena when all I have is 2 6* champs, and 254 othe underleveled champions.

does an aura skill apply to the champ with the aura and teammates or only to teammates?
all the team and even once that person dies
@@HellHades ok thanks cause it said on the aura teammates but yt never said ;)
Im envy of this 4 skullcrowns just chillin) wanna pull second one :>
I came across a team of 2 hegemons, a krisk, and a rotos that had 318k player power...I noped out on that one
Does anyone else look for there own name in the arena when he scrolls through? Or is it just me
Yeah, i really hope he won't start showing up in silver 1 🤣🤣
I would still like to see you fight the other team in the arena to see if you would lose to them. just to prove it yenno, proving you can beat them is the same thing as proving you lose to them. teaches the same thing
Bro said "fill her up!"
Thx
Boom!
no new players are going to be able to get arbiter anytime soon because with the current arena there is no way in hell they will be able to farm those medals to get one great hall bonus to level 10
You've given me something to think about. Memorize what every champion in the game does. BTW it's pronounced armijer not armigger.
Within 1 minute i heard "We got two skullcrowns naked" and "six more please, fill her up" 🤣🤣🧐
I feel like learning to drive a Ferrari without having one. LOL
Thx for this HH. But wasting so kuch silver just for content. Ouch. But we appreciate it mate
I'm stuck right in the same area level, lol
? Doesn't crit damage increase power more than crit rate? That's what I always thought. Totally accept it if I'm wrong though.
No, crit rate gives you more .
definitely not no.
So to stand a chance in arena i need to clear my account down to the bare bones, great /s
Feels like player power affects your tournament groups. Really screws f2p players who save a lot of food and rares/dupes in the vault
Hello there!!!
How do you do account takeovers???
What I meant is how do I do an account takeover
Oh my lord I don't thinknim ever going to get this game lol
“Wet noodle” lol
Omg the fucking best line evver
Okay now I know better 🙂
For the horde I mean the algorithm oops wrong game
can you reveiw your sinesha ???
yep on my list to do
