It's wonderful to see the USS Arizona Memorial reopened. I visited Hawaii nearly two years ago and was devastated that I couldn't set foot on that memorial overlooking the sunken battleship. It was so chilling to gaze upon the oil slick from the tour boat and see the bullet-riddled concrete mooring points where America's pride and joy, the Pacific fleet, sat on that fateful morning. I wish more young Americans my age still appreciated the sacrifices of generations before us made for this nation. We must also never forget the lives of every other nation that were lost from '39 to '45. May we never forget.🇺🇸

It is very exciting, moving to tears, they are HEROES, for many reasons, saving the world from the tyranny of the Nazi Regime, saving thousands of lives in concentration camps, in places of death... HEROES for their mental strength , of reaching such old people, overcoming the terrible images that will have remained in their minds. CONGRATULATIONS TO THESE LEGENDARY HEROES. Kind regards from Buenos Aires Argentina
Having visited Pearl Harbor, it is a very eerie sensation at the Arizona Memorial. The air feels heavy, and it truly gets hard to breathe. Plus, the "tears of the Arizona", the oil still in the ship's bunkers slowly leaking out! It is a truly humbling experience!
I want to thank each and everyone that has served and is serving to keep America free. I am so blessed and honored to be an American. GOD bless each one of you.
I wish I could meet every one of them in person before their all gone. I’ve met some through the Zoom meetings though I want to meet them in person one day to say thank you for my freedom.
What a terrible war...so many lives lost. I can't imagine what terrible things were seen during these times. I'm so grateful and proud of all our brave allied veterans that fought for the freedom of so many.

Kudos to y'all fellas. You always manage to make me tear up. We shall never forget the Greatest Generation. They bravely fought and stood their ground. I know their sacrifice because my grandfather (1909-1991) fought in the Spanish Civil War. I never got to meet him but my uncle and pops told me lotta things about him. He is the man I got as my profile picture, days before the Battle of the Ebro (1938). The real heroes are the ones who know how risky it is but they go in there anyways. Kind regards to all of you.
Sadly my great grandfather won't celebrate this cause he sadly dead but his life would be celebrating his sacrifice of his life during Korean war and WWII
It's crazy to say that you had a normal day and that without knowing it the whole army of the pacific (Japan) was on the way to attack Pearl Harbor, thank you for saving us
Words can't express my eternal gratitude and love for these brave Soldiers. Thank you, God bless! 💗🙏🇺🇲 #GreatestGeneration (note: I'm not receiving notifications like I used to. ?? Any advice? Thx.)
We need to find ourselves again. Not be divided and full of so much hate for no reason. If these men can see what one can do to each other at the worst of times and still know how to love life, then we have no excuse.
There were hatreds and divisions and contempt within America for Americans in those days, but what is incredible is that those at the bottom, desperate in their regular lives, despised and discouraged, nevertheless came together and did everything they could to win the war. (Still, while feeling themselves patriotic, many whites in the South -- and yes other parts of the U.S. -- harassed Black servicemembers after their return, even just as they returned still in uniform. Yet Black men and women did all they could. My God -- reverently, angry -- I still can't believe the return the Tuskegee Airmen received. The experiment. if you don't know the shame, Google it.) I think I wrote this poorly. I apologize for my lack.
The sailers who died in the Pearl Harbour attack will never be forgotten

Was this from last year?
Yes it was. We haven't been able to go anywhere this year.
May i ask , how old are the survivors who survived pearl harbor and typically in 1945 how old were most men that participated in ww2?
Great question! The Pearl Harbor guys are all almost 100! We know a few that are 100+. Most of the WWII guys are 95 to 99 years old.
