    This is a really captivating, simple looking..but yet strongly standing out scene

    I'm lucky enough to have started this and yes I love the usual landscape ones that you do but it doesn't hurt to do something completely different every now and again, I think it hones ones skills as it were and moves them up to another level. Also for someone like me that finds several perspective points in a picture hard to comprehend, you showing us how to do it with the grid method has been fantastic, a great drawing thankyou

      Hi Margaret and thank you for the kind words, I agree a change of scene now and again is a good thing, it certainly sharpened my perspective drawing techniques more, I wish you all the best with this one:)

      smoothie77 I know I will enjoy it as I get further into it, there's so much scope , looking at the videos, to change up the shading to make it look really interesting, it really enhances what could be quite boring looking walls into something quite unique and picturesque, it's good to learn how to do something in a different way, can't wait to get to that point lol

    When I finally get around to practising buildings I am going to try and draw something like this for my first attempt ! That's very helpful

    Beautiful, Smoothie! I prefer real time to the sped-up time lapse (it makes me dizzy, to tell you the truth). I find it far more helpful to see you drawing and shading in real time, even if I don't see you shading in the entire picture. I think you did a wonderful job of editing this.

    Love this tutorial (very relaxing) and the drawing is beautiful...! Almost dreamlike, reminds me a little bit of the backgrounds in some Paul Delvaux-paintings. I recently became a subscriber to your channel and I really appreciate the very good content. Thank you for all the lovely ideas and technique lessons! 🙏🏾🌺🎨🖌

    You are without a doubt a master of fine arts. I have a request if that is okay, I have always loved the muted colors and I saw that you can buy tainted charcoal online. I know very little about charcoal but I am planning to try it out. Would you be so kind to share you knowledge on (Tainted) charcoal. I love to draw with colored pencils, Ink's, pastels, and Graphite. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful art and your expertise!

    • @smoothie77drawingpainting
      @smoothie77drawingpainting  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment, I'm not the best person to ask about tinted charcoal as i don't often use it, I have a set of Derwent tinted charcoal pencils, they are very nice but the colours are very similar and quite muted, hope that helps.

    That was beautiful 🔥. I'm having trouble with blending the large dark areas and when I use a blending stump, the shade becomes uneven

    • @greekveteran2715
      @greekveteran2715 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try to use good quality paper stumps, like "Conte" . Also, don't push hard on the paper. the touch has to be soft and even. Change the motion you do it. try in circular motion, and see if that works better.

    • @zaeriuz
      @zaeriuz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@greekveteran2715 Oh, that's it. I often find myself pushing hard onto the paper. I'll definitely change the motion. Thank you!

    I prefer landscapes but it doesn't hurt from time to time to draw something different. But I don't know what to write ...I'm really tired of writing only compliments:). Why don't you mess up with something so I could write something new? Take care :)

    Editing is fine but do not speed it up. I feel it leaves me not having the time to watch and appreciate what you are doing. Also if I turn to look at my coffee cup before I pick it up I've missed half the drawing.
