Been a fan of Crash for over 20 years, but I disagree. Sora deserved the spot over Crash or Spyro, and I've never even played Kingdom Hearts. KH had a much larger impact than Crash or Spyro did, because it appealed to a larger audience. To be fair, Kingdom Hearts deserves _alot_ more credit than it gets. (If you know Crash you should be old enough to remember this) Games had a horrible reputation back then. If us children acted up in the slightest way, it was "oh you need to stop playing all those violent videogames". Kingdom Hearts changed that mindset in a huge way, simply because of the ties to Disney. This is why KH was the very first game that alot of kids played, because it was the first one that was universally "acceptable". Crash Bandicoot set a benchmark for future games and developers. But Kingdom Hearts, represented by Sora, is the reason that alot of people even started playing games. People who never would have heard of Crash Bandicoot otherwise. You could make the argument for Crash or Spyro vs other characters though.
