This is the first video in the series and sits slightly before the 'Practical Intro to Burp' video. In this series we're going to look at every tab, talk about extensions and how to use them, whether or not you should buy the Professional Edition and how to do tasks like using Burp for mobile app testing or using Burp to find race conditions. I hope both new Burp users and people who just want to become more confident will enjoy these videos

Thanks Katie! This was a good hands on intro. The audio was crisp clear. Can I suggest you to turn the recording volume up a little more? I increased my volume to max on youtube and laptop volume and still it was on average loudness (compared to other youtube videos).

I came across your channel from "How to do Recon" - do you look at exploits within the OS/kernel, or do you only do web exploits?
At the moment I'm focusing on people coming into bug bounty, so we tend to focus on web. But I'm not against looking more into OS/Kernal stuff if there is interest! Most of the videos are I learned a thing so I'm going to share it with people

Q1.Here you had changed the proxy setting of mozilla , as you said brup had a proxy why cant we off that proxy in mozill (Because brup had already) ?(I am a beginner)

This cert import to the Firefox browser doesn’t work for me. When trying, I get an error that says something to the effect of “this is not an authority cert so you can’t add it as an authority cert”

Hey Katie! I am facing an error while using burp,even if i imported the burp certificate i am unable to visit different safe sites. Like visiting yahoo.com
from firefox gives me an error saying Secure Connection Failed.Can u please help!
I am unable to work on real targets due to this
I came across the same problem. What I did was I closed the burp application, then changed the proxy setting back to its default, and lastly, searched certificate in the settings, and then in the Authorities section, found the Portswigger CA, clicked on it and then deleted it. I did exactly this and everything started working normally.

Can we save our work for later use in free edition of Burp? Let's say I have some request tabs in my repeater and I want to save my current work then couple of days later I want to resume it where I left off
No, that is a paid version only feature, but I can really recommend just noting down interesting requests/endpoints so you can come back to those in particular...
I love learning about bug bounty but I am a bit afraid of learning things in deep 😄😅 . Do burpsuite is really safe for beginners and same with kali linux ? . What's the best beginning for beginners to start with
Yup, once you get over the overwhelming feeling of burp it's a really good tool! I don't use Kali Linux myself and never had, definitely not required for bug hunting!

Yes, kinda. The new MacBooks have support to testing iOS apps and there’s a project called Grinning Soul which is open source which emulates apps but it’s abandoned
