By 1993, Ted the foul-mouthed teddy bear's moment of fame has passed. He's moved back in with his best friend, likable but awkward 16-year-old John Bennett, who lives in a working-class Boston home with his parents, Matty and Susan, and cousin Blaire. I’ve only seen clips on TikTok and haven’t watched either movies, but the show seems really good and has me interested in watching it and the movies.
Saw first 2 episodes so far. So funny
I liked it! It's basically a live action Family guy, and casting Steven Smiths (American dad) voice actor as John's dad was a good choice!

Ted surprised me. It’s kinda funny how some shows or movies with little to no expectations manage to surprise us. Ted isn’t the only one here. I hope the show keeps going for as long as possible.

I believe the reason is because studios view it as a lesser risk (because there’s less riding on it). So they’re minimally involved, which allows for the artist to realize their full vision.

It’s crazy to think that Ted has apparently been watched more than The Office on Peacock. That’s surprising.
Well a lot of people already seen the office
To be fair most people caught the office when it was on Netflix
And it was really popular in its original run

This show proved that Seth needs to write family guy again
Family Guy is beyond repair he should just stick to doing his own projects. The Orville was pretty good, and Ted has potential to grow.
God he really does...that show hasn't been funny in so long. It's sad.

This show was truly something, it really felt like a wierd adaptation of the live action Family Guy but with Peter as a teddy bear instead. I hope we get a second season to this

No irrelevant cutaways, just grounded and relevant jokes with some values included.
The cutaways were funny when done right but it just started to be references and scenes that didn’t even relate to the previous scene. Early family guy was so good at cutaways
@@skimshady I think cutaways show a lack of plot in the episode.
@@jmmypaddy I disagree. In early seasons they were heavily related to the plot and added additional comedic opportunities. Its hard to create an entire universe essentially in a 10 second gag but 9/10 its pretty great and you immediately understand what they are going for.
I was ready to hate Ted's humor, but I found it legitimately funny lol
This show was wayyy better than the movies but if Seth MacFarlane ever decides to do a third one, I hope Blaire's in it.
Fun fact: the reason why the series version worked so well is because this is the version Seth originally had in mind for Ted but didn’t think networks would be ready for it.
Same! I think they could do a lot of fun stuff in a 3rd film given what they pulled off here. But I mainly want to see another season more than anything.

Its irreverant, but also still has a heart. The family loves eachother.
I’m so glad this show is airing in Ireland tomorrow. I’m a huge fan of the Ted movies and seeing more Ted content is bringing a smile to my face.

Seth MacFarlane has been a MASSIVE influence on my life, I grew up watching Family guy, and what I love most about his work IS the offensive & downright reprehensible characters because it's REAL!
one thing I HATE about entertainment these days is how everyone gets along & no one can hate each other because of their differences & we all must get along blah blah you get the point.
One of his characters I like from The Orville is Klyden, the moment where he says to his child "I wish you were never born" because of how she feels about herself is GUT WRENCHING but there are people like that in reality & Seth knows this!
The guy is a god damn genius.
If you thought comedy originality was dead watch Ted! Seth McFarlane’s genius mixed with good old story driven narrative has it all.
Loved it, I hope to see a season 2!
Ted was my favorite surprise show so far this year
I only got in to Ted cause of Clips of the show got me interested to the show.
The McDonald's apple pies being way to fucking hot jokes were so goofy. But hilarious. I remember eating one as a kid then multiple layers of skin from the roof of my mouth slid off. Then had blisters of the roof of my mouth the next day.

Ted is just a great character...love it.
I went into this show expecting absolutely nothing. I fucking Loved it. All of the characters and side characters are just amazing. I haven't laughed that hard in awhile. I just rewatched it and it was just as funny as the first time.
Minor thing. Susan was not the only character to make the Lawrence of Arabia joke.

yeah this really proved that for sure. I mean there's a reason why Macfarlane originally envisioned Ted as a tv show back in the 90s!
At first when I heard about this show I thought "why do we need a prequel show? Why not make a Ted 3??" But after watching all 8 episodes (yes, eight...idk why the internet says there's seven) I can say it really satisfies!
Apart from Ep.7 this was one funny AF season. Bring on S2.

When I saw the trailer I expected it to be a trainwreck since Ted hasn’t been around for 10 years and a tv show may fill things out. I was so wrong cause this is one of the most fleshed putt comedy shows I’ve seen in recent memory like I GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE BENNET FAMILY!
Family Guy was jokes first then a lackluster story behind it which was never my favorite, but this show you can tell Seth McFarlane had a lot of fun with this. The overall story was put first in each episode sprinkled with the typical Seth joke tangents. I loved it and much more than Family Guy.

Starting at episode 2 it gets hilarious. Episode one was a character setup and felt forced. I’d love to watch it all again with someone who hasn’t seen it.
It was actually pretty good. I usually give up on shows halfway through the first or second episode, but I have watched most of this series whenever I get the chance
I will always remember Scott Grimes as Steve Anita Smith singing.

Giorgia Whigham is fantastic on this show. The Blaire character is a perfect counter between the insanity of Ted and John’s completely out of touch parents.
My main criticism with the show was the length of the episodes. At 40 minutes they felt to drag a bit. They should have done 20-30 minute episodes instead.
The reason why it works so well is because there's still some heart and wholesomeness to it. Yea its a boy and a foul mouth teddy bear but throughout the series, you can tell they mean well
The show proves that Seth is a good writer (cough cough ted 2 cough cough) and he needs to do more of these

His cousin is so awesome. I would have loved to have an older sibling around when i was growing up to encourage me and show me the ropes of things my parents couldnt grasp.

I agree with the majority of the video but i have to disagree on hatred for ted 2, i personally found it much funnier than the first one, with a more interesting story, with the funniest cameo but the best known ass kicking father and a better love interest for John. Fight me
i like this series a lot more than family guy/American dad or the Ted movies. It reminds me of Wilfred from a few years ago even though there's more differences than similarities. if anyone hasn't watched Wilfred is worth checking out too. i hope they give Ted series a real chance.

TED tv show is amazing! It's not just funny it's also brings 70s 80s and 90s nostalgic jokes that brings it all together as a grown man in my thirties love these jokes

If yall like this series i really recommend the orville its so good a lot of the same cast and todd did this whole satire but caring homage but with sci-fi and its phenomenal and deserves better then it gets treated
