Barbel & Chub On The Float - River Wye Guided Session - A Wonderful Day's Guiding

For this session I accompanied two anglers, Tony & Steve, on their first trip to the Wye. They'd never been before and didn't want to go in blind so approached me to accompany them.
The video should give you an idea of how the day went but, as I'm sure you can appreciate, I didn't want to film the guys all day, wanting them to enjoy themselves without having a camera stuck in their faces constantly.

As far as the fishing was concerned, they wanted to trot the stick float. Tony, being a proficient river angler, simply wanted some help with location and a few tips with the aim being to catch his first barbel on the float. Steve however is mainly a carp angler so required a little more help in getting to grips with the trotting, which he picked up very quickly and was soon catching plenty of decent sized chub.
As I explain in the video, I get approached on a regular basis as to whether I can provide guided/accompanied fishing and, until recently, I've been simply too busy.
